My dads after a new laptop and I literally know nothing about them, nor am I up to date with what's a good spec these days. Basically he wants to spend 500 quid or less, so what's the best he can get? It'll probably only be used for Internet and a few other simple things, not gaming etc.

How reliable is a tyre that's been plugged to repair a puncture? Ok on a track? Reason I ask is I had a puncture in a fairly new potenza which has now been repaired. Would this be ok to use on one track day before I replace it with a new tyre?

Well my 172 is making the dreaded noisy diesel sound. My first thoughts were obviously dephaser pulley but after reading up on here I'm not so sure now. is it possible that a lifter has gone? The annoying 'tick' is there throughout the Rev range, whereas am I right in thinking with the dephaser...
