Engine Management Light - Shift Light Fault

Had this a few times now, every so many months my engine managment light will come and when reading the codes with the RS Tuner, the only fault it brings up is a shift light fault? I clear it and then its fine for a few more months, then it re-appears.

Anyone else had this, and anyone know the cause (and solution)?

Does the slift light (or more accuratly warning of your going to hit the limiter light) come on when your up neat the limit?

yup the shift light still works

I... must... resis... its not a "shift" light!

It is most likely a poor earth. Check those to the gearbox and behind the passenger headlamp unit with a DMM and improve where resistance is high.
