What size rubber grommet do I need to blank the rear wiper hole?
I know halfords do sets of them, could someone link me the correct one if you don't know the size?
Cheers, Kieran.
I assume you mean the diamond? grab a screwdriver and lever it off, it will just pop off. I would advise using a cloth to protect your paint whilst doing it though.
Sorry mate only just seen this, thanks for the help. I was looking for a brighter white bulb didn't realise how s*** the vision would actually be with LED! I managed to fit the dipped beam but now have to put my fogs on because I can't see a thing.. Can you get whiter non LED bulbs? Because I...
These arrived today http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191166354089?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Went to fit them and they are the right fitment and light up when turned on, however the bulb is too wide to fit through the metal plate which locks it in place, meaning I had to...
Sunday = Car fettling day
So having stripped out the rear seats I bought some carpet of eBay for 10 and salvaged some wood from the shed. I thought I would have a go at smartening up the boot, not a fan of the bare metal. I know people will say whats the point, but I carry my bike in the boot a...
Looks a nice clean example mate, depends what you're looking for in terms of lowering. I've got 40mm eibachs which are great, looks and handles a lot nicer but problem with springs is you'll probably want to go lower. I wish I had gone and would suggest 60mm springs as in my opinion that's a...
Like it mate, I have the 182 alloys on my 1.2 look the biz.
A few ideas
-RS grills make a huge difference
-172 rear bumper would tidy the back up
-Sport interior
I have a clio campus sport, looking for a cup spoiler, I believe mine is ottoman blue, is this the same shade of blue as the arctic blue which the cup comes in?
Here is a picture of the shade of blue of the campus.
Spent a couple hours working on her today. Changes since the last update are minimal but make the difference; clean plates, cut down aerial and black sprayed clio badge (glued it together). Planning to colour code the rear boot button.
I also had a chance to try my new detailing products...
Looking into buying a pair to go on the 1.2 this evening, any advice to whether they are decent or problems to look out for? I've done some research and the inner ring has snapped for some people, however this is just the 16mm ones?
Cheers,
Kieran.
Looking into spacers, wheels are a little hidden in the arches, what size do people recommend with the 182 alloys?
I was thinking 20mm front and 10mm rear or something similar?
A few small little jobs done over the weekend:
-De stickered the back and put a more discrete cliosport.net sticker at the top
-Plastidipped diamonds including the wheel diamonds (neater finish that wrap)
-Removed the yellow fog film, gone off them a little, going for a cleaner look
-De badged...
Well thank you very much that was exactly what I was looking for. Some great food for thought there, I'll do some research into the products you've recommended and let you know how I get on.
Thanks again!
After telling myself I didn't want to get drawn into detailing I can't stop reading about it and want in. I am a little confused by everything on the market and what's best for a beginner. Could someone break down the steps and give me some advice on what to buy or point me in the direction of a...
Thanks for the advise mate I will have to give some of them a try. Yeah I was a bit unsure with the white spirit, I searched the forum and people said they had used it, so had my dad, won't be doing it again! I think I will get a proper clay bar at some point as it is desperately needed!
Took...
I have been cleaning cars for years, trying to make a fiver off my neighbours, only since getting my clio and joining this forum have I become aware of the detailing world. However being 17 and having a Saturday job I don't have the biggest budget to run the clio let alone spend £50 on a pot of...
Update:
Got rid of the carbon wrapped rear badge and bullets, looked dog
Kept the carbon wrapped dash inserts and front badge as I like them
Eibach Sportlines came and fitted them over the weekend, I went for 40mm because I live out in the sticks and any lower could cause problems that I could...
