Re: SUPER 1600 REPLICA based on 172, CLIO WILLIAMS Tribute, CLIO WILLIAMS IV (Austra This does look brilliant. Great choice of colour too. Keep with it and good luck (although it seems you have enough know how to not need luck)

These look much better in the flesh although what on earth is that black bit on the side, looks a bit sill imo. Otherwise lovely car, enjoy.

Thanks for the writeup. Certainly interesting to see a none journo point of view.

what et are 172 cup alloys?

They are IIRC et35. The lower the number then the further they sit out basically. Also one thing to note is you need a centre bore of 60.1, if the alloys have a smaller centre bore it's generally not worth messing with. If they have a larger centre bore you will need spigot rings.

Are you sure that's wise, sir?

Agreed, if I had a ridiculous amount of money I'd do the same

    New Logo Idea

This tbf. The logo's better in the second one but it takes attention away from the photo

Regular West Midlands Meet - See Calendar

Thanks to everyone for coming, especially the newer members or ones that haven't attended before. Hope we weren't too scary haha. Hopefully you can all make it next month, also going to try and sort a couple things that are a bit different as the weather's slowly getting better :)

Regular West Midlands Meet - See Calendar

Yeah think Martin mentioned that, not sure what it's like but we'll improvise. A steak is a given and as for the TV/Derby, can't see it being any other way.

I've read through this thread all the way (not just today) but never posted. Really glad you're sticking with it though for the moment, it's a great read. Chip's offer is IMO what forums are all about, not met him but simply awesome. (wish I'd kept on top of my project thread, I've been...

Regular West Midlands Meet - See Calendar

As usual with the monthly meet we never push for confirmation of attendance so really have no idea until we get there. Usually get about 5 people say they're coming in advance. A couple then don't turn up but others that didn't confirm do. Don't think we've had any less than about 7/8 before...

    EPAS on 172 Cup

Out of interest more than anything else would an EPAS rack be advisable for car that is primarily road use with occasional planned track use? I see no reason why not, I have a 172 cup, a while back one of the power steering lines split, I had to replace it but that ones on its way out so if that...

Don't know if I'm being stupid then just I thought a similar size to my CS sticker would be ideal and I believe that's 60mm but maybe I'm mistaken :s

    West Midlands Area Sticker

I expected that from Mike but not you Dave...actually yeas I did, you're just as bad lol. I'm actually thinking 60mm, think the 80mm I suggested previously looks a bit too big on reflection?
