The earliest cups you will find will be 05 with most being 55, the trophy introduced the cup chassis on an 05 plate then it became an option when the 225 cup was release which some early models make it onto a 05 plate with most being 55 plate onwards.
Much like this one :dapprove:
Yes they come with the bearing kit. They break with time so you have to replace them, which means a new bearing as they are sandwiched between the bearing and the swivel hub.
1. Dealers don't program f**k all.
2. VIN number is usually pulled from the airbag computer not the ecu.
3. He can't/won't have "changed settings".
4. Even if its had cams they still time up as per OEM.
Looks like it was badly written by a typical arsehole who is fobbing you off. But it's a...
The seller is a soft touch if you manage to get one out of them, this is your bed. Lie in it.
I'd put good money on there being f**k all wrong with the bolts or the key.
Well you haven't listened to the already good input above so i'm not going to waste my internetz breath repeating them. You need the OEM diag tools (which very few people have and were talking very much specialist work) or physically edit the eeprom chip which some mong out of the paper isn't...
The PWM pack in the ground leg so check to see if you have 12v at the fan terminals. If you've tried a new fan and sorted the control pack out and still doesn't run then it sounds like a supply or grounding issue.
Golf R didn't come along until a lot later I believe, would put it above what I was prepared to spend.
A new oem clutch will last so long on stage 1 some people have managed better than that but they always fail in the end, Audi penny pinching means there isn't much overhead in it for tuning...
Wasn't from a main dealer and its almost 5 years old, I can't imagine they would be interested in the slightest. Also I don't want another standard clutch.
If it were in warrenty then it'd be worth letting them doing it, the clutch doesn't slip anyway but the flywheel is a little noisey and I...
Christmas has arrived.
Yes, please ;).
Also stumbled accross this on eBay for 1/4 of the price audi want. Did well I feel.
So just a DMF, Slave and some decent weather to order now.
The only downside to them is that you have to be sooooo careful with them, not a lot of padding and soft leather means they'll mark so so easily. I've banned certain pains of jeans from driving these days after one experience.
That's a plug not the remains of a wire they only use one terminal.
Might be worth disconnecting the feed from the alt and making sure its clean looks a little rusty in that pic.
46k but its a common fault with the Gen2 rack the internal bushings wear and it slops about. Audi won't acknowledge it as a problem though obviously as they'd have to do something about it.
PAS motor is on the rack not the column so it pushes the price up a lot.
Just managed to nab a BINB Sachs Racing orgasmic clutch for £360 on ebay, just need to pick an LuK DMF and new slave cylinder and i'm on a one way trip to stage 1 :D.
Unfortuantely, I need a new steering rack (£1kish) aswell. Lovely :dead:.
