Bucket of hot water with soap powder in, use a nail brush. Theres a thread on another forum using this method and they came up brilliant.

Im not to sure tbh mate, mine are just standard spec. I think if you just use the car as a normal daily road car then standard specare sufficient but I'm sure G172 will give you the best advice Thanks, Austin

can anyone tell me how hard a job it is to be changed, how long should it take as i will be taking it to a garage. renault want £119+vat, obviuosly said no, can get the parts for £46 just need to know if its a big job etc

UPDATE----------------- Put the handbrake on today again and it is holding the car, although the handle is pullud up so much furter than it should and is loose, i can move it with my finger its that loose. Could this possibly just be that the cable has came loose do you think? Or will it be...

Evening all, pulled the handbrake on and it feels loose and is pointing straight up towards the roof, the car also rolls haha. Ive left it in gear but not sure whats actually happened. I think this is probably a snapped handbrake cable but really not sure. Any help is greatly appreciated...
