I never drill plates, I even got the dealers to stick em on my car without making any holes in the car.
Get some sellotape double sided foam from wh smiths. Mine are on with them, straight stuck well, NO DRILL marks or holes.

id have thought you have a good chance of getting him to court for at least common assault, esp with all the people around. Is there any CCTV or anything?

did you order a diesel scot? im not familier with clio diesel engines so dunno what they look like, presume if this is one then its the 1.5Dci? as this is the only diesel you can get aint it? 2 different power versions though.

afaik the last 172 had esp cruise, so 53 reg ones and above all depends how long the car has been sat, the reg aint really a guide to how old it is.

doesnt have reversing sensors as standard. my dealer had them as an option dunno if this applies to the 182 though.
i didnt think mine was one touch but tried again and gave it a really quick "flick" and it is actually one touch.
until the wheels drop off Im not taking mine in, it seems they all do it as such cant be anything to be overly concerned about, I just go real steady over bumpy surfaces on full lock.
