    good memory mike (good to finally meet you as well mate!) But yeah DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS ALONE! The tape trick wont work, it pulls away from the bumper due to the shape of the splitter. Just get 2 mates to hold the edges in place, push it up from underneath and drill from the middle outwards...

    actually his mate at reno used an air polisher, did the job a treat. use autosol afterwards to shine it like a b**ch.

    right then, after all the cack with the petrol etc etc it turns out it was an injector that had gone, more than likely due to something in the optimax i used to fill up. They replaced the spark plug as well, all under warranty. Got to say the cars is loads better now and it was probably half...
