A few people have access to part no's and prices, people usually post up a thread asking kindly and they look on there system, and they reply with current price and part no.
Wests Renault is great, Tom can find you the part you want and post it to you, have a look at his trader section and make...
I had an impulse purchase with a gift voucher in Halfords... It was wonder wheels because i cant shift the brake dust on the inside of the front alloys, will it be ok to use once if i polish and wax the inside after detailers?
I love the last video, just had my RS192 fitted, it isn't much louder than OEM but after a few town drives i've decided it is near enough perfect for me albeit a bit quiet.
Is the straight through pipe (no silencer?) available to buy? or is it custom made? I'm not really looking to decat at the...
All i have to add is you dont need spring compressors nope, but it did help have someone push down a CM whilst I span the retaining nut on a few turns.
Also had some problem getting the suspension strut lining up with the 2 bolt holes on the hub, because i had one side jacked up at a time, the...
Just pull straight back towards you, not up IIRC.
I only had trouble the 3rd time i removed my dash... and in hast/forget i think i did pull upwards instead of straight back.
I had this problem on my 1.2, that was 2 hours of swearing and pulling i wont get back.
Eventually i got a long wood file, or anything long and thin will work, and tapped back the metal air bag tabs freeing it, then bent it back after.
I discovered a bad clunk coming from the front wheels, turned out one of the track ends was so nakerd the hub nut was lose by about 1mm causing that clunk.
I replaced both ends and had the wheel alignment carried out, still having the noise, turned out this time the drivers alignment securing...
Yeah ive been under the car plenty of times lately after finding my center hanger was f**ked and the silencer to cat clamp was spinning freely so replaced both, so i know what to do, just wanted to know which order
Seeing as the silencer is a pattern part and has a sleeve over it, im hoping...
Ok lads thanks for the help, i wanted to find out what the exhaust rattle was myself... i dont think its the cat springs, think its the silencer being a s**t fit, I might try and see if anyone local will fit it, otherwise ill just take my time and do it on the drive.
Its cat back mate, glad ive not got to tackle taking the cat off!
Im going to jack up one side and yeah ill be using axel stands for sure, to get the center silencer to cat clamp off, then also unbolt the silencer hanger (only replaced that a week ago was a pain to get on!) then un do the...
Anyone help and advise on what order to take off... then put on?
I was thinking:
Side of car up, chock and axel stands on... V calmp off (cat to center silencer) then thats free, Unbolt the sleeve (get that off), screw driver to loosen sleeve then try and get the silencer off..
Now whats...
Oh really? so you only drop the axel to get it off in one piece?
No it should come to me as it would from factory (RS192) in 3 pieces... so i can just jack one side the the car up and fit it in pieces?
In what order would you recommend? and do i need to unbolt the rear hangers or just slide...
So soon i should be getting my replacement exhaust,
Ive only rang a few garages but im getting in the region of around £60-90 (if there's no extra work required) for them to fit an exhaust.
Not too bad prices i think but id like to fit the exhaust myself on the drive, taking my time, using...
Yeah Lamin X's site says
"The law/Mot hand book within the UK states that front primary lighting must produce a White or Yellow light. There is no documentation about the colour of the actual lens."
^ Yeah i thought only acetone or something to that strength would remove it.
Applied this to my 1.2, was great however in the rain the water sheeted through the window any time i had it open!!
Still going to apply this to the 182 soon.
Need to buy some G1, but still have G3... anyone know the...
Yeah im gonna have to mate, but think ive got it all sorted now.
The problem i have now found was I was originally moving the wheel too hard so instead of finding anything wrong i was just moving the steering wheel, although i did hear the click when moving the wheel lightly each side, and the...
Quite a bit then! turned out to be my securing nut for the inner tie rod was lose (the one you loosen and tighten to adjust the wheel alignment), the bloke who did my wheel alignment must have not tightened it up enough, im not sure how but after i tightened the nut up, and got my girlfriend to...
It will just look like a normal 53 plate car to anyone but you and your mates imo... find a better plate if you want a personalised one or spend the money elsewhere like you say.
