How hard is it to change the top gearbox mount? Rough price?
Its being sold for a sport when im 21 but it wont stop me making sure the cars still in good nick for the new owner.
All done now, code given by JackJack was current and correct so cheers for that mate, Price has gone up to £25.94
Very easy job, the bar at the front needs to be unbolted slightly furthest towards the engine, then the bolt facing down taken completely out, then the large circle with the mount...
Im interested to see how the DIY paint worked out in closer pics, done outside ?
Paint could look pretty nice once flatted,
Not a fan of the general look going on, bumper just kills it for me.
Cheers mike, from looking at the Renault part the after market didn't look very built to me, will be going for the Renault part, hope its still £25 or less
So double checking nothing needs to be supported? doesn't look like it from looking...
Got a few bits to get done to keep the car tip tip, and to top it off got a screw in a tyre, not happy, anywho... im just double checking everything like i usually do, dont like to be stuck under the car wishing id asked before
Dont laugh :o dog bone at the back correct? just checking ;)...
If you buy the whole hub assembly that means its just a hub swap over, the bearing alone means you will need to get the old bearing pressed out of the old hub and the new one pressed in..
The hub swap is the easiest DIY if you don't have access to a bearing press... although you will still need...
Yeah you can theres a guide on here if you search fancy plates guide i think something should come up
They look very good but are illegal because the plate is slightly smaller but a lot have it on and are ok, do some reading before you dive in :)
Its a pain mate, you put a lot of love into your car and then some c**ty kids come along and scratch it,
Its a fear everyone who wants to keep a nice car has imo,
Hope you can get it fixed easily.
Surprised there's been no 6x9 bashing yet, usually what happens
I have speakers up front and rears are re wired to vibe 6x9s at the back... did it 3 years ago when i passed my test, was told not to bother as they would sound s**t... in reality they dont sound amazing by any standards but they...
Nice one Biojo,
Anyone got the part no?
If my gearstick is moving somewhat more than it used to, and the changes are feeling slightly clumpy when fast worth a change?
Anyone got aftermarket part link? 1.2 2003..
Or part no please?
I have no terrible symptoms, although my gear stick does move a lot more than it used to when giving a bit of gas quick...
Gear changes seem a bit clunky than they used to, ruled it down to the dog bone mount?
Car feels good just abit sloppy on gear change,
Is it and easy change? if i...
Juicy!
On another note been trawling youtube for good car vids and get bored of the results when searching, completely forgot about street fire, any other good sites? thats the rest of my night taken up now haha.
yeah the material that touches the disks needs to be dry and free from grease, on the back of the pads where it is metal (or painted) you can apply a grease called "copper grease" its good with high temperatures, its put on the back of the pad to give the pad a bit of grease in between the pad...
Im only a hobby mechanic but i had squeaking when slightly touching the brakes... took the pads out they where bone dry (originally i had a bit of copper grease on the backs of pads), Put a slim coat of copper slip on the backs and solved the problem...
Just seen this uploaded on another forum, ages old (sept 10) but did a few searches and count find a new thread... thought id add this for anyone who hasnt seen?... pretty sure i havent myself anyway...
Edit: searched Gymkhana instead of Ken block and found my answer, my bad, still a decent vid.
Yeah, was going for the cheapest route, but i wanted a card with 2x vga ports for some reason, dont know why most have 1x dvi 1x vga, im told because of cost and most people only running one monitor, so they have a choice of monitors,
Combo of twin identical outputs, silent cooler, good amount...
After my rebuild following a stupid mistake of letting liquid hit my motherboard my pc is up and running, improved and better, my graphics card before and now still after the build will go blank on both monitors for a second or two if under stress then recover...
Ive asked on a pc forum and...
