Out for a thrash, approaching a 3rd gear corner hard in 4th, onto the brakes, blipped as I dropped a gear as I normally do, then as it continued to run down in 3rd, the exhaust popped :D
Tried it repeatedly after that to no avail.
What actually makes it happen? What can I do to make it do...
Right then, I've had me some Pagid blues fitted for about 4 weeks now - so how are they?
First off, this problem I had shortly after fitting them was exactly as Ben suggested..."Greening" - and they've been fine ever since.
On the road I found them very surprising for such a track/race...
It was f***ing hard work keeping up with these guys...the only place I had anything was down both straights (I lost that advantage though if I screwed up Graham Hill bend) and on the brakes into Paddock.
I got about 5 laps of them all flying round - I bet you all wish you could've overtaken...
Better late than never...
Sadly this was the only time I found myself behind Jeremy all day, and we managed barely a lap before he pulled over to cool down.
Good fun though, especially watching him/it work through Paddock :D
Clicky...
I've got loads of clumps of rubber all over my tyres which are getting changed onto new wheels on Friday, so they'll need to be rebalanced.
What's the best way to get all the crap off...paint stripper gun and metal spatula?
Ktec Stealth + Yozzasport decat 0-100 clip.
Had the decat fitted since Friday, and it now sounds exactly how it should have done when it left the factory.
Nice and quiet, no louder than standard, on a light throttle at 30, 40, 50...but give it some, and it screams. It's a shame it doesn't...
Fitted these a week ago, 400 miles since, with some light, and some firm, but no hard braking.
Just went out to film a 0-100 video since I've got the decat on now, and thought I'd try a 100-0 video too.
The pads bit into the disc OK, and initially felt like they had enough to lock the...
...with anticipation.
Off to see Magic Mike in a short while to fit my Yozzasport decat...I'm feeling all nervous and excited...like it's a first date or something :S
It's like when I've been away on holiday - driving back in the 1.6 Zetec Focus, all I can think of is "I need to drive my...
I've just unwrapped a Yozzasport decat
Tomorrow afternoon, and my date with Mikey big hands can't come soon enough.
I've already got a K-tec stealth fitted...with the decat as well, am I going to notice much difference?
Power/torque curve?
Noise?
Splashed out a little and treated myself for the upcoming Brands day and fitted a set of Pagid Blue's at the weekend to get them nicely bedded in over the next two weeks.
First thoughts? Very surprised!
For such a race focussed pad, and with it's extreme operating temperature range I...
Out of idle curiosity...
I've had bikes over the years with drilled disks, and I know a lot of bikers also, and I've never heard of a drilled disk on a bike cracking.
Yet everyone advises against drilled discs on cars as they crack.
Is it because they're fully floating?
Didn't BMW...
15" rims, ET35 - can I stick these on my Cup without fcuking things up?
Before anyone says it, I have searched, and it comes up with pages of threads...haven't got time to read all of them to find the info. I'm looking for...
...another boring post about the heat...
Lovin' it, windows down, shades on...
Actually, no I fcuking don't, I hate having to open all windows/doors for ten minutes before I go anywhere so...
I've got me some of these to run at Brands in August...
Should I drop them in on the day and bed them in during the first session, or run them on road for a few weeks before to bed them in that way?
Any pros/cons to either route (apart from being a hazard on track as I keep jumping on them)?
Here's a clip of one of my 6.50's...and watching it back now, I can clearly see where the extra time is
I'll catch those pesky MKI's. We need to go again...
Had a standard service today, and while Mike had it, I asked him to fit a new set of front calipers (which I supplied), and bleed the brakes all round (Mike supplied the fluid).
After all that TLC, it then gets a nice jetwash, then handwash.
Less than £180 :D (including unlimited coffee...
I can't get out of work tomorrow, I'm sprinting at Haynes on Saturday, and we've a full day on Sunday so I miss out on it this year - gutted :(
This is what makes it unmissable though, from last year, an F1 car so close and revving so high it makes your ears bleed :D
Enjoy... - best viewed...
Following on from here where I had a sound problem with my Origin b2, I sent it off to them.
Two days later I'm e-mailed to say they've found the fault, and it's been sent for repair/replacement.
Two more days later and I'm e-mailed to say it's all fixed, and is ready for despatch.

As title...
Night before last it didn't make a single sound the whole way home, even if I tried to adjust volume it didn't give me the confirmation beeps.
Yesterday it worked again, but didn't sound right, and was intermittent.
Today's the same.
Anyone else had a similar problem?
I...
I spoke with an instructor at Castle Combe and he said he raced his Corsa on them, and in a Race & Track Car mag article on the CC Saloon Car Championship recently, it seems he's not alone.
Anyone run a set on their Clio on the road? Did they last?
Or do the racers rave about them 'cause...
No damage thankfully...just muddy footprints everywhere.
And if that isn't bad enough...he then forced his way into my house.
Luckily I caught him sniffing around and chased him the f*** out...
I caught a picture of him as he made his escape...
If anyone sees him...
Completely forgot about this...
I'd had a really frustrating session, getting held up everywhere with some shockingly bad driving, so I'm cooling down then this happened...
Almost had me...
