Just after a quick answer if possible, does anyone know if the Ktec solid top mounts will be ok to fit with an OMP strut brace already fitted? Apparently there's room but looks tight!
Also, anyone who has them, are they really hard for daily road use?
My standard ones are knackered and...
That looks great in the photos but must agree, looks better on the original plate
You said it's not mint? How? Anything you can do over time to get it back to it's best?
Yeah I thought that too! But it threw me saying "Item is recommended for the Shock Absorber Top Mount Kit" as if its needed with it in addition, like the little spacer that gets purchased alongside brake discs.
Had a good run out this morning in the Clio with @T9 0LLE and @Harley-xi up the coast road so would have been rude not to get some photos!
Really was a lovely morning, so maybe summer isn't over just yet?
More photos can be found here...
Myself, @T9 0LLE and @Harley-xi went out this morning for a run up the coastline, stopping in Cromer for a cheeky tea/coffee and something to eat so would have been rude not to get some photos........ beautiful day weather wise, maybe summer isn't over just yet?
Two 182's and one crazy 172...
Looks awesome in that last photo looking down in the bay!
As said mate, a nice system in the car, you won't regret it.......... get some good speakers :up:
This is true, simple fuse removed, now no oven like heat blowing in the car at full power. Good work mate!
Resister getting done asap for starters
So i've now had the car in Renault and it's the worst scenario (that I kind of expected)........ needs the heater resistor for the speed AND a new heater box as it's shot for the heat.... Balls! The guy at the garage said they can do a quick fix *cough* bodge for the heat but I said no...
😂 sounds like mine yes! If you were standing at the club tent, you'd be looking at the back of my car............ it stayed almost immaculately clean all the way there, 150+ miles I think it was and then got covered in dust on the last 100 or so yards driving in. Was not happy, just...
Trouble is, you might have a point! 😂 but yes that's it, the cog bodge seems to have been done once already so not something I want doing again, I thought the same about both going, but that's typical me, don't do things by halfs 🙈 lol
Yeah they've looked at that for me mate, that's the area of the issue but I think it's generally, f**ked! Didn't quite take in the full explanation tbh but know it's all been checked, we had a good chat about it away from Workshop manager ears lol! I trust the Renault Tech who is looking at it...
Got the car back, it's the worst scenario (that I kind of expected)........ needs the heater resistor for the speed AND a new heater box as it's shot for the heat.... Balls! The guy at the garage said they can do a quick fix *cough* bodge for the heat but I said no, especially as it appears the...
Have dropped the car off at Renault this morning to have the heater looked at, fingers crossed its a REASONABLY simple fix...... as discussed above, i'm feeling a cheap fix for the speed, just the heat that's a issue IMO. Only drove it 5 mins this morning and was nearly roasting hot when I got...
Looks a good base for a little project this :up:
I had my callipers professionally painted silver on my Arctic 182 but then I have silver Turini's, I think the yellow there doesn't look too bad at all with the darker wheels! Just the yellow tint on the fogs i'm not so feeling haha but who...
That's a nice touch getting the cruise control sorted and i'd be happy with that price all in too  I did that with my old Astra VXR a few years back, bought the stalk from Vauxhall and then got Courtenay Sport (specialists) to code it in for me. Great addition to a spec that should have had...
Shame about the service history but you can start to build up your own history with it as long as the important bits are all sorted, bonus with the clutch!
I always thought 5mm was the limit for the standard bolts so yes would be absolutely fine. BUT....... for extra peace of mind, I bought slightly longer bolts for mine anyway (30mm) to go with my 5mm PMS spacers all round as they were so inexpensive, didn't want to take the risk
That's a fantastic result mate, i'm well chuffed for you! My 182 made 180.9 AFTER the remap so yours is now more powerful haha! The responsiveness etc on mine is soooo much better however and pulls really hard, you won't regret having it done!
Pleased you got on with Andy, he's a great bloke...
Tell me about it with the exhaust!! I've the same problem with my Milltek, had it fitted brand new, went wonky on one side......... had it re-aligned, job done..... now its moved a little again!! Just enough for me to notice 🙈
Nice touch with the tool bag, these are the little oem...
