Anyone about the lower pully ?
Also seeing as the tensioner is at the top, Im supposed to use a spanner to pull the tensioner down, Could i just use my hand and push it sligtly down? while its un-done? that means i dont have to muck about with spanner in one hand ratchet in the other etc.
Not just having to content with it looks like s**t, But cleaning brake dust and exhaust carbon off that wheel, Whilst fighting off the pussy that thing would attract would definatly keep the new buyer busy.
My toxic fume light came on when i was running the car and it was missfiring, At first i thought id run it too low on petrol and taking advice from a garage i brimed it with petrol and tried to give it some beans and hope it would clean the filter.
That didnt work as it was just missfiring due...
Looks fresher, Not sure i would have gone for red though !
Oil on the wheel bolts? Never heard of that before.. Must be old school? Bit of copper grease does me.
I had this problem, Cleaning the contacts (pins which touch the bulbs) with a file didnt work, Nor did filing the earth connections behind the lights.
WD40'ing the f**k out of the conector blocks and leaving to soak for 10 mins worked.
Yes £120 seems steep to me, I got the contact off my local alloy repair bloke, But hes just in my village.. I dont know him either.
I was hoping to pay around £75 max and theres a few more little dings ive got that are just not that visible... For £120 i'd expect them removed too..
I havent...
Contacted a local dent removal bloke to me and just want anyone to confirm this is an ok price, Also if anyone had had any suggestions of anyone else to try for a quote in the Essex area?
I have 3 door dings in the drivers door and 1 lower stone dent, And also 1 light dent in the left of the...
Had a look today, The tensioner is a bit tight to get to ! so i left it, The belt is fairly taught as it is.. Is it just a case of when its cold it will squeel? Some do, Some dont etc?
And also the lower pully is wobbling ever so slightly, Is this supposed to?
So you undo the t50 bolt, And using the spanner as the torqueing (sp?) tool? you pull it taught then tighten up the t50 bolt?
Also will wd40 harm the belt? just wondering if a spraying will make it slip, Harm the belt or help in anyway at all? Im guessing its not needed.
As its getting colder, When im starting my car in the cold at night its squeeling like a b**ch when im turning.
And also a little bit when its warmed up.
Is this becase its slipping or rubbing on something?
Where and what spanner (or else) would i need to slightly tighten the belt?
It...
Looking clean mate, Colour coding looks nice.
Dont really like that rear exsaust, Stealth would be better ;)
Will look nice lowered.
DIY colour coding job?
Only thing i can suggest is what ive heard some dealers do: Wrap some tinfoil over the light and use a hairdryer to dry the moisture out, Then check the seals are intact.
Or go and moan at Renault?
Doesnt painting the reflective insides take away some of the light ? or..?
On a dark colour car i think it would look cool, But on silver it doesnt imo.
Another +1 For the Hankook V12 Evo's,
Warren reccomended them for me in my thread and im glad he did ! in the wet they are good, Im just too scared to see how good. But in the dry ! i can corner very will on standard suspesnsion and the grip is very good.
