Mine got replaced (just the wheel so the airbag bit was still peeled a little.) on warranty but I had a good relationship with the branch so maybe a rare case Chris

I think it was just for the vids m8...but his engine has done nearly 100k and is still going strong... Prolonged high revs would be trouble but the occasional high should be ok Chris

Yeah Nics Std 182 has a really good kick at 5k. Mine makes the same torque at 2400rpm as nics makes at peak so you get it low down and again at 5 but not as harsh. As Mark said the remap smooths the power delivery out a lot. And would the loss of the std airbox make a difference with not having...

It is funny how your perceptions of fast change. I had a little 1.2 8v with a few bits and it was really nippy....until I was behind a std VTR and it pasted me lol. I wouldn't even have to try now (not exactly std but you get the idea) Chris

All I know is the rear bench and bits from the boot (carpet/tools etc) weighs about 25kgs but as Tom said, how is the original weight measured...1 person in the car and a full tank or the opposite? Chris

Sounds like what my m8 did to his valver years ago....nothing below 5 k then loads above...might have a good peak power but wouldn't be a good 'drive' I would imagine Chris
