Long time no see Ben! Cars looking mint and ins't too shabby on the speed front either lol
Black and white ftw ;)
5 door but was just more practical
Chris
I have had a weird knock for a bit now...done same as you plus exhaust off etc and still doing it. Especially does it on bumpy roads or if I am accelerating from v low revs. Just before I took it back to the lockup I noticed if I brake even slightly whilst making the noise it stops so it looks...
I'd be surprised that it would have left you easily m8...maybe at daft speeds but mine isn't as powerful as yours and there is no way one would pull away 'easily'. My m8s 245bhp/300ftlb mk5 golf only managed to pull a car or so from 40-125mph...golf is probably 60kg lighter and 10bhp down but...
I think people expect massive differences but to really make a difference you need a LOT more power or at least power to weight. IMO if you beat a decent quick car by 5 car lengths then thats a fair distance imo
Chris
Maybe the downhill? ;)
Seriously though I would be surprised if you got 'a lot less' than that and that terminal speed doesn't seem right compared to the time you got
14.4 would probably be about 96mph usually unless you have a turbo and struggle off the line. 99mph would normally relate to...
They have made a few small changes since then fella...sticky stuff on the launch area and a smooth concrete bit near the burnout area which gets some proper heat into the tyres.
Lol at the 'lardy Cup' was some pretty close races but that one you hooked up spot on
Chris
I'll post some pic later this week as I have just got my new Cup racer wheel. I have got a couple of Cobra Suzukas with Renault Sport embroidered in (used to be Loonys seats and a few others I bought them from Subway) and thats about it
Chris
I got it fixed and sprayed but at very cheap m8s rates....alot less than a grand anyway. If I open the doors the reason is clear...not sprayed anything inside so when you open the doors it is still blue but seeing as it is primarily a track car I'm not really bothered
Cheers
Chris
Cheers for the comments. Going to be ordering some new badges (that one has been on there nearly 5 years so it has at least stayed stuck on! lol) and probably get some new plates as they are looking a little tatty these days
Chris
Yeah Ste would love to get some nice coilys on but can afford at the mo. It is great fun on the track as is and you could probably have 3+ track days for the cash I'd be spending on suspension
Chris
Cheers guys
@ Dan yeah she said you were a ball ache ;)
Yeah the plate has been on for nearly 5 years now..the g forces have taken their toll hehe
Chris
Went for a little blast as it was sunny this lunchtime and deceided to take a couple of pics (only phone ones tho :()
Wheels are pretty much fucked now due to the PF pads so I'll probably get them resprayed soon but apart from that I'm well happy (Thanks Mark/Middo :))
Pity you didn't go on Sunday (I'm guessing this was on Monday)
I was there in mine but just to watch
My m8s Scirrocco managed his PB of 10.27 iirc and a 0-60 time of 2.8!
Great range of cars from skoda estates to a few skylines/evos and loads of hot hatches...made me wish I was running...
Can't believe this was on today...was at a loose end after I washed the cup and you two were only 20mins up the road...gutted I didn't know about it :(
Stunning pics either way guys
Chris
Unanswerable (is that a word? lol) question m8. The cars themselves vary soo much. But technically if both cars were puming out the correct power and all other variables were the same the 182 would pull very slowly away at 100+ imo...but it would be very slowly
