As there's a good few threads in here regarding BMW's I thought i'd finally add a few photos of the car that does my daily duties while the 182 is tucked up in the garage........... it's a 2002 325i M-Sport in Sapphire Black metallic with full black leather interior and 5 speed manual gearbox...
I'm loving this! I know the plan was to keep it standard but in my humble opinion, this more oem+ route is really good. Everything from the mini disc player to the Williams wheels suits it well
That is quite simply, stunning!
This answers my question I was about to type......... was that a factory option! Never seen that before but personally, I think it looks really smart! Kind of fitting to a car that had that price tag at the time and of the period
The standard wheels look smart but the silver Turini's look soo much better. I would say this though due to my own Clio. This makes my opinion one sided and obvious 😂
Must admit I do prefer the car with the rear seats back in and cage out as well so that gets the thumbsup
Looking forward to progress on this............. someone is also going to get a great car with that LY!!
As above, great updates once again! Really interesting to read the Nurburgring adventures etc, can see why you bought that photo of the Clio at the show, I don't always buy them either but that's a great shot with the car at a slight angle. Cheesy grins allowed!
Oh and the red MX5 looked super...
Great thread and well written, keep up the updates! :grinning:
The car looks great though with some nice additions here and there, very oem+ ........... love that go-pro photo!
That looks amazing and to think the first and latter photos are the same car almost blows the mind lol! The 4.2 is arguably the most desirable too so i'd imagine there's still room for a big profit in there. Can only imagine how many man hours that took!!
Surprisingly, no! Never sat in one but been told they are more flat than i'd expect, don't hold you in so well? I really like the standard seats anyway so no plans at all to change them. Besides, you'll never beat an RS Turbo Recaro
Oh really? I've never known them to offer that! To be honest, would save a lot of hassle!! I took just the rims down there in the usual way and that was only in November! The Renault badges are just clipped into the round centre cap however, you could always take the black ones off and press in...
Just to enjoy it now tbh! All the little mods and things I wanted to do are done so will be nice to put some miles on it and just enjoy........... but I said that before and then the wheels happened. Then the steering wheel happened. And so on....... 😂 But all that IS done now.
Yes...
That looks sooo smart in those 'after cleaning' photos, comes up well!
Least you know the belts have been done and by someone who knows what they are doing but I know what you mean, seems odd to fail at the final thing!!
That looks sooo smart, total improvement from the more washed out/faded red when you first bought it....... someone has done well to get it with all the work now done lol
This is coming together very nicely!! The difference in that engine bay is like night and day, looks soooo much better now. I personally would get an engine cover as it just finishes it all off for a nice oem+ look. Oh, and I need to do that with MY seat belts!!
Great work, keep the updates...
Great update, car just gets better and better
Snetterton is a great track with fast corners and a really decent long straight at the back, done a few track days there myself, you'll love it!
Looks a good base for a little project! With the brakes, I have Brembo HC discs up front with genuine Renault discs on the back and then Brembo pads all round. With brakes, @George@RTR_Parts is the man in the know! I've also got the K-Tec kit on my 182 and you won't be disappointed, sounds...
That's a good point actually, thank goodness you didn't find the issue later on after the seats have gone back in!! Least you know its all done and sorted now, and properly!
