Thanks matey :up:
Haha that's absolutely fine, I saw the plates on another car on here and was like 'I need some!!' ...... never thought when I took a punt on eBay they'd a) exist as a listing or b) be that cheap............. has to be done!
Cheers! :grinning: As for the engine.... possibly! I've tidied a few things up, polished quite a bit including the underside of the bonnet lol, even metal polished the air-con pipes. But the rest of it (inlet and cover etc) is original, not shiney shiney I know, but original which I like. That...
Took the Clio out for it's first 'proper' run of 2017 today and thought it would be rude not to get some fresh photos :cool:
I'll post a few here but as there was quite a few, I started a new thread in the Media forum here;
http://www.cliosport.net/threads/new-photos-of-the-arctic-182.805118/...
Got the Clio out of the garage today for it's first 'proper' run out of 2017 and thought i'd stop off and get some fresh photos as there's quite a few new parts on the car now. I ended up doing around 100 miles of mainly 60-70mph roads as I wanted to gently bed the brakes in as the discs and...
I get that! You loose evenings and stuff too etc but all worth it for the end result
This is very true, you take more care as a) it's yours and b) its not being rushed out the door to get another one in lol
You save yourself a small fortune doing this stuff yourself mate :up: don't worry about little errors, all done now and least you know it's done right!
The PS3's on my 182 are very good tyres, you won't be disappointed :up:
Seeing your belts tho --> 🙈 only because they look so good haha mine sooo need doing, its the only dirty bit on my whole interior lol!
I'm in agreement with the spoiler, that looks great just as it is, IMO the other one wouldn't suit this car so well!
I must confess, i'm EXACTLY the same with this 😂 and that photo above doesn't help!! Jokes, looks great @NorthloopCup
Nice work there Mark, I would never think of painting the discs like that! Looks really good and as you say, the disc face would get wiped off almost immediately anyway........... that said, can we just take a moment to appreciate how awesome this now sits;
:grinning: and :cool: and :up:
Nothing I can add that hasn't been said already, but I do agree, car looks stunning in those pics :up::up:
And that's from someone who used to be not so keen on the 'newer' shape clio, but they are really growing on me now and that sits sooo nicely. The red really finishes it off!
Great pics Mark, all the cars look very smart, nice mix of colours......... but yes the new models certainly make the Mk2's look small now but that's just standard for any car isn't it, look at a Mk1 Fiesta Vs the new ones!!
I can understand that to be honest, the car is awesome with a capital A, but with recent issues and what not, if the chance is there to maybe make a wee profit, i'd be the same :up:
If you keep it, fingers crossed it all gets sorted this time
Yeah i'd agree with the above, if the standard part doesn't fit, just leave it :up: proves why people spend the extra ££ but well worth trying for that money, nothing lost there at all, if it had worked, would have been a billy bargain!
That's a nice little touch, nice and subtle :up: i'm with the surround vote though, I think that would finish it off and look a bit more 'oem+' but otherwise......... :grin:
Nice :up: can imagine the pull/torque on that is pretty hard! I wanted a 330i with the E46 but thought the fuel consumption may be a step too far for a daily so got the 325i lol! 330D's are a good option tho, just wasn't many about that were decent
That's a cracking photo :up: both cars look very smart indeed, defo do a project thread on the Clio!
I've got an E46 325i M-Sport saloon in black as my daily so i'm with you here 😂 yours a diesel? Wheels look very smart on it
That's an awesome list of things to get done matey, hope all goes well.......... map, new exhaust and induction kit and it'll be nipping along nicely, peace of mind getting the maintenance bits done too :up:
As for the K-Tec induction kit, this is my engine bay (just to tempt you with one...
Ahh fair enough I was going to ask if your keeping it now but just seen it's getting moved on! Be nice if you could make a few quid on it for the trouble but good to hear it's being saved afterall as DOES look very smart..... coming from someone who didn't like them when first released lol! Defo...
That's a great list of work to have done already, expensive, but worth every penny for the peace of mind that it's all sorted and sorted properly :up: Not heard of vapour blasting before but the results speak for themselves there!!
