This is a good point, what's people's thoughts on the fitment? Being a FF will they be a bit wider? What i'm wondering is whether i'll still be able to use the 16mm hubcentric's with them. First clio, so first time round the block doing all this lol!
"the incorrect pulley depth corrected by some washers superglued together"
:openmouth::openmouth:
That's awesome getting that spotted and corrected, good stuff!
Wheel looks much improved too, when the re-trim happens I think your right, less is more....... would be a bit 'busy' otherwise
Yeah see i'm leaning towards the PS3's as had a fresh new set of 4 fitted on my old EP3 Type-R and found them really good! On an oem+ car, oem look is good
Cheers mate, totally agreed the Turini's are a very well worn path but i'm hoping they'll look smart when freshly re-furbed and with my oem+ look i'm going for. As they are Cup wheels, i'm just hoping they are not really wide when combined together with my 16mm hubcentric spacers. Would be a...
As the title suggests, I need to get 4 brand new tyres for what will hopefully be my minty fresh re-furbed Turini's when back....... the question is, which would people recommend?
First time buying tyres for the Clio so I need to ask this well covered question lol!
Pirelli P-Zero's any good...
Yeah see the car is only a weekend toy, borderline garage ornament to be honest, so not worried about winter tyres as it won't be out on bad days....... same with miles, I don't do many in it so that's not an issue either lol!
Managed to get the new wheels down to my mate's garage today to get the cheapy tyres taken off, that means on my day off tomorrow I can try and get them down to the local powdercoaters to get them re-furbed and made minty fresh. I still think a nice light silver is the way forward!
So with the...
The other little purchase I've recently made is a new steering wheel for the car! I've been looking into this for a little while now and @DrJekyll has been a big help with a few questions I had - much appreciated mate! In the end I've decided on this 330mm Sparco one, with black suede and centre...
Cheers bud, won't be for a little while as money is a little thin this time of year but I want to get some really good tyres for these, just not sure what! Last time I bought 4 fresh new ones was on my old Type-R and they were Michelin Pilot Sport 3's........ good, but everyone on here has...
😂 true! But when it comes to wheels I've always been the same....... even if every car in the area has the same set, if I like them, i'll have them anyway doesn't bother me
Ok, so i've gone and bought myself something for the Clio i'd all but decided I wasn't going to get........................
:grinning:
When I first got the car a set of these was almost top of the list of things I wanted to do (as you can see from my early posts in this...
That's not sad at all bud, I did exactly the same thing in my old Mk4 25th Anni Golf GTi, proper oil in the zip up VW bag Velcro'd to the side............ think I might get one for the clio too now ha!
Great stuff, was going to say would be such a shame to let such a smart car go for a small-ish issue - soon be back up and running!
Oh and *high five* for the old man's music, I too have a CD player that is exactly that, a CD player and radio lol!
Boot carpet looks smart!
Haha thanks Mark and no need for an apology from you too, it's good to have a recommendation on these things like the Boss etc as I wouldn't know which to get, would probably have gone straight for a Sparco to match the wheel's manufacturer lol! But if Momo is better, worth the extra  Really...
😂 that video was brilliant, someone seriously had that wheel on your old car before you got it!? Never seen anything like it, so dangerous 🙈
No worries about going cheap however, have put in an order for a smart looking 330mm Sparco wheel with black suede and centre horn push...
Just looking for some inspiration for a new wheel for my 182 if possible, has anyone got any photos of a OMP wheel in their car?
Especially this one which caught my eye? The Superleggero...
Good man, thanks for that, may take you up on the advise offer  I totally agree about the 4 button bracket, it does look much cleaner but as I don't have the Ph1 stalk, I won't bother getting one, will just go for the 6 button variant. Maybe I can pretend all the buttons are for ejector...
