Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
i am taking the reading of the oil from the sump, its the only place i can thing on the F4 were to get it from! and its reading 108degree after a good session on track.... unsure if thats a false reading be intrested too see the results
jord, dump the entire system, remove bleed nipple, fit the expanision bottle once its got water in blow through it, untill you have constant water coming out, I had a overheeting issue not as bad but a little one with a laguna 1.8 16v. Resolved the problem.
Do a sniff test, ill send my Snap...
It can only be a few things causing this Jord.
1) False Readings by the ECU
2) Over heating due to Head Gasket - There very very strong on these cars, But i hope you stuck a decent one on
3) Air Lock - Your sure its sorted so this isnt a option
4) Stat - You have changed this
5) Sensor -...
Ive been Flat out with Proper Work, no time for my Playig with cars, Since the car has been a good boy no need to be up there, im working on a mates car at the min but mainly weekened :)
Pop up any time Chris :)
PM cleared, I dont like the way it dont tell you its full!
The way it can be done on aftermarket ecus is lean the fuel out on lift off for a split second and that caused the pops and bangs.
I think it sounds ok when it happens on its own the video up there from JMS sounds fake and from a 1.2 lOL
Thing is why oh why would you stick that mesh on the car!!!! Just why!!! if you do a Rep of a better model thats what you do, not spoil it LOL, The exhaust look shocking too! If he had got OEM Bumpers it may look better, but the price is ermm Wrong
The great thing with running aftermarket ECUs is that too get the car up and running is easy!! we had help from a nice guY Chris ( Scoff ) www.Efi-parts.co.uk The electrics isnt that bad, If you have time drop me a pm :)
