Seems very low, especially if you do a decent amount of motorway. I’ll set off on my 50 mile round trip tomorrow and reset to compare. I drive mine like a knob most of the time but I don’t really worry about the fuel. Work pay.
I had a royal wheel and the leather used by these after market trimmers seems to hold up 20x better than OEM stuff.
I wouldn't worry mate! Just keep it clean every few months to stop it looking shabby
Jesus these chaps are over complicating it Euge.
Right, simple (everything from Halfords):
Pressure washer needed, then:
Rapid dirt shifter
Any non acid Wheel cleaner
Decent soap (meguires gold class will do)
Wash mitt
2 large drying towels
Two 50p b and q buckets
- Spray the wheel cleaner...
Silver is the facelift cover.
However I’ve just realised that I’m being full r****d.
The car is either a facelift, or it’s not. That is 100% a facelift.
Front lights, bumper, rear lights and bumper. All different to non facelift.
Ta Rhys, with the manual box it actually still feels like quite a fun "sporty" kinda car, which is exactly what I was hoping for. So much less cruiser than the 650.
So then, three days, later, I'd booked to go the lakes with the mrs.
With the state of my hangover, I couldn't manage to wash the car myself in these three days, so the day before heading off, I popped to the local bos-wash (sorry detailers):
Loaded the car up with enough luggage for a...
So, this is going to be one fucker of an update. I'll split it into two parts.
Firstly, the reason I bought the car, I'd booked to go to Bruges with 5 mates. Two live in mainland europe, so would be making their own way, but I needed to drive four, as between us, no one had a suitable car. Mate...
As Dave says, he's already done all the hard work, I just need to run the cable itself!
Have you considered going for your "ipad" option, but swapping the dash top? Sort of like a hybrid. So you get the simplicity of wiring, but it integrated into the dash? Does anyone do an android screen...
I was hungover as s**t yesterday, or I'd have cracked on. I'm a bit scared of what remains it'll leave also. It'll get done this week, fear not.
I kinda like the 330i badge, so I may just swap the 5?
It needs boot badge, new centre caps, and a bloody good polish on the outside. Polish...
Sterling work, I was looking at this yesterday on the 330, Can I yank the single aux input out, make the hole bigger, and fit the aux and USB that's floating around??
Also, do you know what the little switch does in the arm rest? Has 1 and 0 on it?
I thought the same, I even said to Dave about trading as he seemed to love these weird seats.. But my god they’re comfy, and the heated element gets super hot, and they’ve worn far better than leather would after 14 years and 130k miles
Stonking hangover today but I got a few bits done...
First of all the boot button was properly manky and split, found one on eBay local, £15 later, much better:
Before:
After:
Then I moved onto the inside, old gear knob:
Yanked that off, got the new one on,
The gaitor needs a bit...
@MarkCup I hope you took the three ‘good’ tyres with you home from the tyre shop?
With all your number crunching, surely punting them on (either via forum or via eBay) is worth an easy £150?
Extremely on both fronts, if you get an early one the engine is generally more reliable and the timing chain is at the front so even if it goes bang it’s not so bad to fix.
In terms of easy to fix, it’s basically the same as my z4, which I did lots to and found very simple. Parts are very...
