I went to Renault with mine...was very loud. Turned out the cam followers were fooked amongst other things (valve seals?)...they checked with Renault to see if it was worth repairing then rang me back....we`ll have to give you a new engine lol! Chris

I think that it true to a point. People with only a little car knowledge wouldn`t know that a williams was any different than a normal mk1...a V6 is quite obviously different Chris

Surely it would be more down to the car...as people often say (who don`t actually go on the strip) it`s piss easy. I would say that a track would be down to the driver more than a straight line race. Chris

It is really a pointless argument as you could have a good 172 against a bad willie or vice versa. Scotts 172 had filter decat, exhaust and couldn`t beat a 14.8 (iirc) Kev had a totally standard 172 (maybe a power sapping filter) and got a 14.6! Plus you can`t argue that two cars have the same...
