i'd just use a wire brush. If you use a wire drill put something on your eyes, the rust gets everywhere.

If it f***s up, sand it down and start again. Doubt it though.

I used Hammerite smooth. No problems. I agree if it looks s**t, then you havent prepared the surface right. Satin should be fine, just clean the area and paint thinly. I never bothered with thinners.

Ive got a pipercross on mine, Cant hear it when driving 'normally'. But when it goes above 3k revs its definatly a better sound. Sounds good with the windows open.

Ive got the battery dissconected so the airbags dont accidentally go off, Plus the holes in each of the connectors are so small i dont think i could get the meters in.
