you use the same cable you plug your ipod into the computer, into the head unit. On the kenwood HU, it goes into the slot on the bottom left of the face, and it should read it fine. You wont be able to hide the ipod though...

This. You can get HID kits that fit straight into your reflector headlamp, but all other road users and people on here will hate you, unless you get projector style headlights. :)
