    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

Agreed on the looks, apart from the wheels and tailpipe there's nothing really that marks them out from any other Fiesta. Especially from the rear. :(
  2. Tighten My Nuts

    Timps' Fiesta ST

It's not an age appropriate plate that came with the vehicle's original registration, it's one he's sourced and assigned to the car himself. How is that not a private plate? Does it have too many digits for you?

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

Idling thumbing through old ST reviews after an exhausting and scorching day at Goodwood and I came across this. Now that I've got a couple thousand miles covered, I can say this sums the Fiesta up perfectly... "...faith in the Fiesta's controls is so immediate and heartfelt that it's all too...

    Timps' Fiesta ST

Ouch with the screen. Glad you're enjoying it. I'm on 2500 miles now and it's a noticeably different car...goes better, sounds better, uses less fuel. Perfect.

CLIO IV RS - Trophy from page 111

I sat in and played with both at Goodwood today. I echo the comments about the steering wheel...too thick and soft. Paddles felt good enough, wheel adjustment enabled what I think would be a comfortable driving position. I take back all previous criticisms of the standard seats, they seem more...

    Not me, car's not moved.

...at that price for a limited time only, and always without warranty. No thanks.

Keep 182 or lease new Fiesta ST?

Not for what the £500 covers in these examples you wouldn't. Simple basic lease cost maybe, but these monthly figures are for EVERYTHING.
  9. Tighten My Nuts

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

I'll be heading straight there once I get in on Sunday! Turns out Top Gear magazine have a Mountune ST review too and what they say about it kind of confirms what was leaked earlier today.
  10. Tighten My Nuts

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

Turns out the information 'release' was not official. Someone from Mountune has commented... No matter what it is, it'll be worth serious consideration.
  11. Tighten My Nuts

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

That's what I'm thinking. I know from other suppliers there'll be a bit more power available for less money most likely, and a sh*tload more power available for a lot more money...but I don't want stupidly big logo covered intercoolers, massive tailpipes, or anything that shouts 'not...
  12. Tighten My Nuts

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

Conformation today of what Mountune have for the Fiesta... I think I'll be happy with that. No loud exhaust. No annoying dump/recirc valve etc. Warranty remains fully intact. 250lbsft coupled with 195bhp/ton. Weapon!

Keep 182 or lease new Fiesta ST?

I saw my first one (other than mine) on the road this morning. Hardly surprising as my commute and workplace are in the countryside that feeds and leads into Goodwood. Was Molten Orange too. I didn't actually spot him coming the other way as I wasn't focusing on the approaching traffic that...

    Wrong! Orange wins.

Focus RS + lowered + homage photos

I like that colour! It's a shame they've not aged well though...sadly compared to current hatches they do look a bit 'last generation' now.

Keep 182 or lease new Fiesta ST?

LOL at talking about £4-£6k per annum running costs, and arguing the toss over the MOT costing £55 per annum. Relevant much? I'll post up my spreadsheet tonight showing how much the Fiesta saved me versus a 200T - it's shocking!

Keep 182 or lease new Fiesta ST?

FLOL at Mark maths. It does work though, I got my wife on-side for the ST didn't I? :p
  18. Tighten My Nuts

Keep 182 or lease new Fiesta ST?

£510 a month for the Fiesta is a bargain. Before I factor in the crap part-ex I got for my 200, basic running costs including all that the £510 covers on the Fiesta, came out at over £800 per month. Factor in the part-ex I got and over my ownership my 200 cost closer to £875 per month...

Trouble is if you're close to the limit they'll pull us in if we get too intimate. Shame.

Will you be ok drive by sound wise at Goodwood? Is August a 105 db day? Look forward to seeing and hearing it!

Better than coilovers apparently. If you don't agree with that, you obviously just don't get 'bags.
  24. Tighten My Nuts

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

I'll most likely get it done after its first trackday in a few weeks time just to be safe and sure.
  25. Tighten My Nuts

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

Not recently no so not me! I considered that but a dipstick check on the morning of its once over at Ford showed the oil still looking like it had just been put in...clear and bright gold in colour so I didn't bother having it changed.
  26. Tighten My Nuts

2,000 miles on mine now and I still haven't seen a single other one out there! Give it a month or two and they will be everywhere.

Tyre problem! Losing air [photo inside]

That's exactly what I'm seeing...looks like a piece of grit is wedged between the tyre bead and the rim.

Test drove new Clio last week

There is no new gear box map. Jeremy Townsend who's pretty good on things like this over on renaultsport.co.uk confirmed there has been NO revision to the gearbox software.
