I think most people will have small problems with the Cup. But in truth, most cars will have probs brand new! For the money you pay, they really arent that much trouble, although there are acceptions.
Just test drive it and then buy it! lol

Need to do some acceleration tests soon to find out. Strangely my fuel economy has improved since I got the ECU! More speed, more revs and less fuel! Not a bad mod all in all!
Hi guys
It said max 151 on the screen( noticed this on a few different cars, higher reading screen than print out.) but was 147bhp. As Rich said, it didnt drop off after reaching its normal peak power and stayed pretty constant up to the limiter( Jonnyboy has a pic of it reving its nuts off...
Hi m8
I had the rear seats out (not passenger) and decat/exhaust with Rsport when I got that time. The superchip just didnt feel as quick as the Rsport and didnt raise the limiter in 3rd >. And was more expensive lol. It did make a difference but it wasnt as noticable IMO
Cheers

No sunroof on the Cup. Check splitter fitting and 172 cup badges. Just have a good look inside and out m8. Then enjoy yourself with it, Im sure you will!:D
Dont bother Im here! lol
£241 Delivered. Fitting is easy even for someone like me! Had it rrd and there was no difference in BHP or Torque but it feels much better and revs higher now (125 in 4th?!)
Im not sure if the ECU will work in the 172 tho. Dont think anyone has tried it. If it did...
Vipers are about £250 I think. Exhausts vary between manufacturers. Rsport ECU is £241 delivered. Thinking of getting a viper some time after Christmas as I have only got an open Pipercoss IK.
Chris
Maybe they only did that amount because anything more would be pretty pointless from a usable power point of view. Would be nice to have a Clio with nearly 300bhp tho:D
Ive had a few niggles but IMO its worth putting up with for the fun factor. Obviously some people have had massive problems but most will be happy I would think.
Based on my experiences with mine, and the fact Im still enjoying driving it, I would say still get it
