Since the standard 172 wheels (for example) weigh about 20kg each (with tyres fitted) that is a crazy weight for a wheels. So is it not possible to get them lightened? Can you even do this? Or would the only way around it to get some made up new in a lighter material? Im assuming that would cost...

i have a 52 plate 172 on 53k now and 3rd gear (as mentioned many times in this thread already) is abit dodgy, crunchy to drop into from 4th or 5th :( how much are gearboxes to replace?

R26 in either LY/GW Easly made faster than it already is due to turbo,rapid round track! fantastic car all round! Value for money! Job done, end of!
