    A friend thinks so, and without too much trouble apparently. A trip to Rentech then my mate's bodyshop at the weekend will tell. Hope it is as the fouling on the wing seems more severe now...makes me wince every time I open/close it LOL.

    A friend makes his living buying Cat C/D repairables and fixing them up so this sort of thing is his bread and butter. Going to see him tonight to see what he thinks. Then Rentech on Saturday to see if any magic can be worked. Failing that, it's bodyshop/insurance possibility :(

    Re: Ultra Red 200 ordered. Top tip Chris, once you get it spend some time practicing opening and closing your door with the ridiculously placed door handle in high winds. It'll help avoid costly c*ck-ups.

    I like that thought...can't see it doing anything other than failing hard though. Car's done 24k miles now...not likely it's been doing it since it left the factory. Worth a try though maybe. Will get Rentech to cast an eye over it this weekend, see what options I have.

    The French bit is due to them putting a door grab handle so close to the door hinge that it's of little or no use. Have struggled with it in the past...I just didn't expect it to get ripped away so violently. My own fault really despite the unique Frenchness!

    Opened the drivers door, a huge gust of wind gets hold of it, I grabbed the handle...but with no leverage it got ripped out of my hand and then the door proceeded to try and meet the front wing :( Door closes and locks OK, but needs pressure to close it properly. Doesn't seat as it should...

    Very, very interesting. So it does seem as though all the CS experts who said my Cup was dangerous and that I was a f***ing idiot...were in fact...wrong (or at least not 100% right)! LOL As for airbags...I can't see how they'd materially benefit you with a full harness.

    Mines a comfortable commuter day-to-day that turns into a trackday/country road toy whenever the time isn't 0800-0900 or 1800-1900 M-F.

    Definitely. You can see the overall average MPG in the graph above improves from February onwards. Also, the car does feel more responsive, certainly is much stronger below 3k rpm. Not really picked up on the spread of fuel cost per mile before. A slight change in my driving style saves me 25%...

    Original tyres soaked up the trackday with no issue...the two replacements were due to a punctures. HUGE amounts! Most people don't realise the true cost of motoring or they choose to conveniently ignore it. Ignorance is bliss LOL These figures are for me paying £10k for a 2.5k year old...
