    What about admin charges on changing insurance? And the fact that you tend to, after each acquisition, spend/modify/tweak to suit (thinking swirl flaps on the 320d etc.)? Doesn't that negate the saving made through shrewd buying?

    Paid £10k originally. Depreciation calculated at £5 per day so now worth £8,855. 200, 3 years old, just MOTd, brand new front hubs, 4 brand new tyres, standard throughout, and on 30k miles. Is £8,855 for this ^^^^ a bit rich?

    It's no effort at all. A simple Android app which makes it ultra easy to quickly enter anything I spend. Then I export it, import the raw data into Excel and out this comes. I get a bit of a kick from doing it tbh...that's the accountant in me LOL What I'm hoping is that as the miles pile on...

    When I first did this a few months I took an average private sale price from Autotrader at the time, and it worked out at £5 per day since I bought it. I've left it in at £5 per day since meaning currently my 200 is 'valued' at £8,855 - which I don't think is too optimistic.

    Nice place to sit I'm sure and does sound fantastic...but looks like the million other TTs that are out there! They should have tried harder with the V6 to distinguish it from the rest of the range instead of the faux mesh around the pipes. Bet it munches through the miles nicely though.

    Yup, by quite a bit! Inlet trumpet on the acoustic valve pipe - that's the noise you can hear when I let off for each shift, the valve flapping closed then open again. Doesn't pick it up in the engine bay!

    I have the Torque Android app which can do this by GPS or by linking with the bluetooth OBD reader I have...may have to have a play this weekend. In theory yes (but only if you put your head inside the airbox).

    It's no myth amongst this community, but there are others outside it not swayed by the 'it's got to have cup packs, recaros, silvervisions' approach so often blindly followed on here. There's a market for them, they'll sell. Just not on here.

    1st MOT, failed dismally. Apart from the nail in the sidewall of a rear tyre, it's got excessive wear in one ball joint, slight wear in the other. Requires hub replacement at £200 a side plus 4.5 hrs + VAT. Rentech Mike says he's never changed one on a 197/200. Argued the toss with Renault UK...

    If you live and drive mainly in London the ONLY thing the Cup pack will give you is; Anthracite wheels Red brake calipers An unnecessarily hard ride I came from 8 years and 130k miles in a 172 Cup to a non cup packed 200. Have given it a couple of track outings already and it copes just fine...
