which Kwik Fit were you going to go to? i've had the one in uckfield do a little bit of work on mine before, laser tracking etc and they were really good. also eases my feelings about going in there, as the manager has a meg 225 cup. ;)

I've done a search, but some people seem to do more or less processes than others. i want to spray my bump strips, door handles and side bullets. what will i need to do? sand down the strips and handles? primer? plastic or normal? then obviously basecoat and laquer, but i'm not sure...

oh just to add it stops blowing as badly once the engine is warm, but still blows a little bit under load.

had my gearbox removed a few months back to be reconned, now the exhaust blows, mechanic friend thinks its the flexi joint, but i fail to see how it could be that tbh. i'm thinking its far more likely to be the gasket between exhaust mani and cat downpipe. does anyone know if that would have...

door and bonnet are the same as non-sports iirc, just the wings and bumpers that are different.

what does the compund do? take off any imperfections ready for buffing?

should do, my mate had my wheels on his crx before i got them, just needed spigot rings to fit the centre bore size. totally depends if the centre bore will fit as the offset and pcd are the same, but as your post show's they are 56.1 centre bore and the clio is 60.1 so you'd have to have them...

i know there's two bolts on the top where the bonnet comes down, one by the front headlight and two in side the door shut at the back of the wing, is there any others? the reason i ask is that at the back of the wing in the door shut there is a metal bracket that comes from the body shell...

whats the difference between 2001 onwards headlights with grey or black surrounds? is it just the black was introduced on the newer e.g 04/05 models? or is the wiring different? cheers :)

yeah it just sits in there, and yeah it comes up with the glass on occasion, the only way i have found to get around it is make sure it keeps dry after you've washed it or put something like a silicone grease or vaseline on it. sorry to clarify it doesnt just "sit" in there, it does seat in a...

its a piece of piss mate, mine sticks when its hot and its got wet, it just sits in a groove that goes all the way round, have a look at it and you wont miss where it sits, its very obvious.

are the scuttle panel and firewall panel different on the two ph's then!? i didnt think they would be!?

surely though the indicators, sidelight, dipped and main beam connectors only have 2 wires from the loom to the headlight so it cant be that hard, its just getting the - & + round the right way? are the other parts i put up correct or need more? as i know you've got Matts old car now i'm...

need to make sure they all fit straight on first fella. but i will be coming to you if i can make sure it all goes together. dont know of any other ph1's with a ph2 front end, as i have to replace wing, headlight, bonnet etc it'll be cheaper and easier to get bits for a ph2.

yeah the front panel comes with slam panel attached. dont know easy the lights are to wire up either? i have the double optics currently so in theory they should be direct fit.
