The factory fitted oil cooler isnt like the one you mean Chavy.
I have a low temp stat and low temp fan switch whith a over ride switch so i can turn the fan on and off as i please.
Fitted a oil cooler kit too, it does keep the oil temp down a fair bit.
My fan stopped workin so i replaced...
Its that time of year again, we all dread it. But when the letter comes through the door and the figure on it is sub £500 it make it alot easier.
Insurance isnt that bad after all.:D
Ha ha the discs make the car!!! (worse than it already is)
I never have understood moding 5 doors to that extent.
You either want a practical car, or one that is alot of hassel.
Alright Ivan,
What happened to the 172?
Think i saw you the other day, at upminster trainstation. Not too sure tho thats why i didnt say hi. Would it have been you?
The newer shape clio is everywear! The 16v and williams were special cos there was never that many of them. It devalues the car to a cirtain extent. Saying that 172s are not too commen, still see alot more that 16vs and williams put together tho.
Ive changed mine twice. It is hard to do. You can leave the bonnet on, you need the drivers side head light out and everything in the space round it. Done it bout a year ago so cant really remember. Good luck if you try it yourself.
It run hot when i had the old thermostat in there, thats why i replaced it.
Surly the car has to have a thermostat? If it dosent need one then why bother putting one in to begin with?
the fan is fine, its a bigger fan than the standard one too!
The only place i am losing water is out the resivour tank as it boils over!!
I really dont know what is causing it. Yeah if the car is going it wont over heat, but soon as you stop the temp shoots up.
