The box adds a few hundred on to the price tho. Ill have to see what type of deal i can come up with.
!60, id be happy with that. I also have a bpv and a oil cooler on the 16v lump, are they worth fitting to the new set up?
Also and proably not only is what type of bhp would i be getting from the megane bottom end with 16v head with either the megane box or 16v box? Is it worth the work to change it over?
Who would the megan head be any good to?
Anyone know of places that do this type of work in the essex/east...
Is the megane box better than the 16v?
How much am i looking at paying for a chip fitted to the ecu?
What is the going rate for the megane lump? and the box?
Sorry bout all the questions but wanna be doing thes engine change once and want it done as well as it can be.
I meant the megane ecu and box. I can have anything off this megane engine. And i have my 16v ecu box and head. Want to know the best conbo and what needs doing to what to get the most from it.
Cheers
Will the F7R DA693 Megane 2.0L coupe engine fit in a 1993 1.8 16v?
If so what else would be needed? Gearbox, ecu etc....
Is it a straight swap or is there more work involved?
Cheers
Tony
Id say a 1 coz its the original. They are numbered. Just much more special than the rest.
But a 3 is newer.
So a 1 if you want a bit of history or a 3 if you want a newer one.
And a 2 if its the best u can find
Anyone got any ideas how much it would cost to change these?
Think mine may have gone, garage cant be sure tho, so they are talkin bout stripping it down to find out.
Any help appreciated.
Tony
Cant stand the look of them
Are very fast tho.
My mate has one, think he is elling it soon, spent ages looking for one now he has one he has realised he cant afford it.
Pics of mine in the gallery.
What we done with mine was brought the bonnet forward a bit. It has to be done due to there not being a overlap with the lights and bonnet.
It would cos tou more getting the tools together than it would paying someone to do it.
If your quite handy then you can grind the rust out fill the arches yourself then get a price for painting. But using filler and fiberglass is a art itself once again. To get it 100% you will be there for...
