Yours should be alright anyway, its after Aug 92 that cars had to have cats on wasnt it? Cant be too much for an emissions test, or you could just wait until the MOT and see if it passes.. Thats what Im doing anyway.
for an rt you would get the one at the top of the page like the one on the valva. not sure if its worth the money but it gives a nice bellowing roar!
oh and it looks cool too and people go "f**kin ell thats a big kit!" (wel, tis for a small 1.4 engine anyway)
Essex lad you should be alright with those profile tyres, although with loads of fat b******s/birds/ICE/stuff in the back you might scrape the tyres a *bit*. Inner lip of the arch wouldnt be too hard to get rid of. Ive got 195/50/15 tyres and it scrubs on the drivers side tyre but not on the...
The phone is only 16 colour (is it 16?) so they dont look as good, but they are a damn sight prettier than the stupid pictures that are already on there like the orange logo and a birthday cake.
Any jenna jameson ones ?! ;)
I saw a white van in my work car park TOO close for comfort, almost hit it whilst pulling into a space and then I hit the side of his van with my door when I got out... Git.
Got some 16v brakes from a R19 and need to whack them on my RT sometime next week.
Read somewhere that Ill need new bolts cus "the RT ones will be too long", what bolts are these and how many of them will I need from Renault?
Master brake cylinder, if it needs changing cus of long pedal...
21mm I think, its the same width as the torsion bar housing if you can measure that. U will only need 1 nut btw.. and a spanner for the nut, which is about 17mm I think?? Wil check 4 u l8r.
Mine was registered on the 31st of December 1991. So new years eve is its birthday where i let her drink all day long and i dont drive her on new years day as shell have a massive hangover....
Yes Im nuts..
Yeah the temp sensor bit is that little rubber bit that sticks out on the underside of the passenger side wing mirror, there is a bit more of the unit inside the wingmirror afaik. A new sensor itself from Renault is £70, so Id have a fiddle with the wires or inside the mirror itself!!! Thats all...
Hmm, not sure if I like the seats even if they are from a valver! But each to their own, but nice neons thou ;)
Paying for a car all yourself is a pain isnt it! I paid for my RT all by meself too (wel dad gave me £400 deposit on the car), and im stil payin it off until this august. Damn...
Keep it Daz, its a good colour and doesnt have anything sh*te written on it like "MOTORSPORT" that you see on loads of papped out fiestas and cavs.
I like it, and I dont usually like sunstrips in general. It also goes with the rest of your car now its been kitted up.
Ive just had another go with it and Im fed up with the bloody thing. I lowered the centre hub about 2cm more to the ground so it should be higher now, preventing the undriveable effect I had yesterday. But no, going left up the sharp corner into uni and its a terrible rubbing noise, even over...
Eek, I might have lowered it too far, but one click will be 35 mm and another would be 70mm right? Measuring the ground to centre hub of my rear brake drum things and its no way more than 40mm!
Going to have another play tomorrow, if all else fails Ill just raise it back to its normal height...
K, Ive jus lowered the rear of my car by 35mm, (roughly), but the drivers side rear tyre scrapes like a tw*t on the top of the arch. Will new shocks help, or could I have lowered it too much? The passenger side is fine, but the drivers rubs like a c**t!!!!!
Maybe I should get some lower...
Im going to do my torsion bar now not sure if itll be similar to ur laguna. Wish me luck!
Im not sure what the trailing arm is thou? Hope the Haynes manual is nice to me.
Steve.
Ive got a leccy mirror from a valver thats got the temp sensor in it and Im guna spray that, shouldnt be too hard (to c**k up!).. No really.. I might try to get the leccy mirror switch things from a scrapyard and have leccy mirrors in mine :)
f**king sorted it.. Its taken hours but its done, just been out for a little drive. The front is now lower :D I *think* one side is *slightly* lower than the other but that might be me being paranoid, parking on a slight slope or I just need to let the springs bed in properly. Sorry I havent got...
Do I prise it off before I compress the spring or after the spring is compressed? Im going to have another go at it now Ive got the shock and spring in my room :P
Cheers for the help lads.
Alright, decided to lower the front of my car earlier, Ive got all the tools that the guide is going on about, cant be *that* hard!??!
Well, Ive got my car still jacked up on an axle stand and Ive got one of the shocks still with the spring on and the spring compressors as tight as they will...
I might avoid Stockport on my travels then! Or if I do my uni mate (who is from Stockport), is gonna have to look after me!
Its a shame dicks like that have nothing better to do than ask for sh*t. Dicks.
