I'm sort of in the same situation so I'm first going to fit a plate diff and see if I'm happy there. Thats still £2k though.
The turbo conversions can relatively easily be reverted back so I dont think its a horrible route to go down.
Drain the oil properly and get a good smell of that oil. If it reeks of petrol it could be a few things.
Worn piston rings, overfuelling causing bore wash amongst other things...
Looks better paint than mine lol
I can help on the parts you need. We've got a reward point scheme which is well worth signing up for if you are wanting lots of parts ongoing.
Lots of people fit the Scorpion exhaust. I'd recommend a mid silencer version though as its a deep sound without being...
I've sold the AST and currently sell the both the Pure Motorsport and BC Racing ones.
PMS solid top mounts are the best fixed position one on the market. If you are wanting a strut brace its a neat solution. I'm not 100% convinced theres any structural benefit but it all fits nicely.
The BC...
I have a few garages I supply Renault parts to in SA. I have no idea what they charge their customers but I'd say a fair bit more as they never argue price!
Well I have there lol
I'll be answering your email shortly regarding shipping costs of the Renault dampers. I just have to prioritise packing orders.
I come on here as I am talking to customers on the phone so two birds with one stone and all that :D
I could make them really stiff but theres only so much leeway you get as you have to make them work with original dampers.
For stiff theres coilovers :D
we have some customer car images on the site for cars with the grams springs.
I would say that stripped out cars do sit higher as the lighter chassis weight cannot act on the spring due to physics
Realistically unless its a special one they are unlikely to fetch so high value that the long term costs of storage is a worthwhile expense.
Enjoy it. I've bought a high mileage 182 based on its service history and the care the previous owner took with it rather than its long term value vs a...
The Ferodo compounds like DS2500 will fit ok. FCP406 shape. You have to always check there is enough play with any pad however. Its the DS1.11 thats the main culpret for needing a bit of filing as this is a different pad backing plate.
The PBS pads have no issues with size as they are based off...
You may have to ignore some of the generic text at the bottom of the page as it applies to all kits.
The DS only comes with the camber adjustable front top mounts with a solid/pillowball bearing - the rear has a rubber bush due to the design.
Yeah i think that will work for you well. It will be a massive difference compared to what you have.
We also have paypal credit on the website if you need to split the payments up. Usually its 4 months interest free but sometimes you get other options.
Personally my issue with the clio for road use is poor bump steer. Mine is on Sachs dampers with Cooksport springs at the moment and I dont like the way it rides.
Its something like £2400 with the top mounts which is a real shame.
With the BC at £894 for a kit its a huge gulf in price. Personally I'd leave AST for the race car where the kit may give a few tenths of extra performance. The damping is better for sure but the Clio is currently regarded as a...
The BC Ds series is our biggest seller. We have pushed the UK distributor a bit on this range as we were making them special order all the kits for us.
Good news is we sold so many with custom top mounts that the Ds series now comes with camber adjustable top mounts as standard.
For track get a...
When you called deep down I was bricking it ha ha
Glad that was an easy fix. When you didnt call Monday I saw that as a good omen!
The turbo build looks crazy good. I keep thinking this is what I want to do to my 182 but I must get a diff first.
Probably not. I've designed a few bits like where to put a turbo, chargecooler and other bits to fit in the tight space but it now needs me to do some welding and fitting of all the suspension.
What I lack is time as I'm always working to make sure the business runs as it should.
So I have...
Are we talking B14 coilovers or the specialist Bilstein sets through Pure Motorsport and (I think) Jade Developments?
The B14 is certainly a road orientated kit - the others rather more track focused...
It will be a really old part number. Probably at least 10 years old. Also most likely not a mainstream kit as some used to come under a motorsport range.
For example: This is a custom Peugeot 106 number I sell F4-XDE-7880-M3
