Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no!!!!!
No cool dude, really not cool, and you've even started fitting the glass etc.
As said, it can be anything from contaminants on the panel, moisture on the panel or in the paint line, even...
Fitting your own glass eh?
Is it relatively simple? Not something worth getting someone who does it for a living to spend 2 hours doing the whole car? Or are you worried about damage or similar?
Cracking progress either way though, really awesome read.
LOL! Getting there mate, chasing spec is a fun but expensive game. I won't be going bluetooth as I have no need or intention to use it. I don't think I'll bother with the full speaker upgrade either but something may be coming. M wheel is coming at some point soon, it's just a lot of money. Oh...
Don't think so bear, the z4m wheels are the third different set I've gone for.
I quite like LM's for it, in 19, but then CSL's look better than that again. I'm pretty happy with the z4m wheels at the moment, if the opinion changes then it'll be 19 next for sure.
There's one on my road owned by Grant, he bought it new and has put more under the bonnet than he paid for the car. It did mince another neighbours Porsche though, which thoroughly upset him.
Cheers mate, at this rate I'll be organising Cliosport z4 meets ;)
Mine's the manual, I'm interested to try an SMG though, auto doesn't do anything for me.
Power wise I'd definitely say it's got enough, the //M's are insane, but the thing is, you can't really use all that on the road...
No matter what ya'll say the skirts look amazing, if I find a picture on a //M you'll all be creaming. It's irrelevant for now as I missed it, but nevermind.
Anyway, in the interest of keeping this updated:
I've fitted new wheels:
Friend of TEG's picked them up from somewhere north of The Gap...
Oil usage is very minimal, I don't think it actually "uses" any, if it does, it's very very little. I can't notice. I did have two leaks, rocker cover gasket and oil filter housing.
I've fixed the rocker cover gasket (fitted new one), but not got around to doing the oil filter housing gasket...
It depends, in my opinion the interior on mine is mint.
Get one with sport seats and you've got a cracking set of seats, some of the best I've ever sat in.
Considering mine is an 03, it's pretty well spec'd:
Heated, electric, memory leather
Cruise control
AC
Auto lights and wipers...
I did indeed.
With regards to your choice. What are you looking for? I do a fair few miles but wanted something fun for the weekend blasts etc, this fit the bill.
I'd gladly have the s2k if it was going to do 4k a year, but it's not got the luxury/toys element I wanted in a daily drive...
Thanks all.
I'm telling you, these car's must be infectious. I think I can count 3 members that have one since me getting mine. With the 4th and possibly 5th^^ to come.
Have you got the tools at home to change them yourself? Presses etc?
If not, it's a false economy.
Let's say £20 a bearing as a ball park.
20x2 = £40
Fitting of the above, 1.5/2 hours labour probably. Minimum £60/80
New discs AND pads, £110.
Fit them yourself with basic tools.
