my black one cost me £1400 and my mate got one for 1k just keep looking one will pop up. When you look at them though make sure they have good service history. i would walk away from any that doesn't.
Cheap allows you to replace parts like engine mounts and shafts that you would still need to do on an expensive one. No matter how much you pay for a ph1 they are all the same age and all the bushes are perished most the suspension components need replacing and most will need the cambelt...
For tax reasons its better to get a ph1 as its cheaper quite a few people are realising this and changing for ph1. I can't see the ph1 going up in price yet but i can certainly see them becoming more desirable in the future as they are pretty much the last in the line of hot hatches with no...
I've never needed it on my 172's you learn how to control the power and drive it properly. It depends what you want from the car but if you are a real driver you'll not need it.
I've done a couple of bits today i've taken the passenger dash air bag out removed the centre gear surround and the head lining. When i removed the head lining i found i huge peice of sound deadening the size of a sunroof so that'll have to come out.
More will come out soon i'll...

Yeah mat it sure is, its was all chucked together for that meet everything is coming along nicely with it now. I've not got a lot left to do with it now just disks and pads all round, fit the front strut brace, polybush all the mounts and get some coilovers and its done.
Just a small update
Today with the help of rexe we fitted all new engine mounts, the car now accelerates so much better and has lost all the annoying clunks assosiated with worn mounts. I wanted to get them done before the yorkshire meet so i'm glad it was nice today.
I didn't bother taking...
I'm paying £700 tpft as all my ncb are on the vectra plus i wrote the other clio off which hasn't helped. For comparison i paid £500 last year on the clio with the ncb applied to it with greenlight.
You may find you can insure a sport for less with a specialist than you can your rsi with a...
When i changed the pipes i just undid the lowest pipe on the radiator first and let it drain out of there. As long as you get some pipe plyers to undo the clips on the hoses its not a hard job to do. I had never done it before and didn't really struggle at any point. The hoses on the bulk head...
I'd never noticed how lacking in torque the 172/182 were untill i drove my vectra which has roughly 320ft lb its amazing how much it helps while pulling out of corners and overtaking. I'm going to look into the low compression turbo conversion for the clio when its released as torque figures are...
