those insurance quotes are ace for the clio then. I was quoted £980 just for a wrx impreza. How big an increase was it over your policy when it was standard? I still don't think it would keep up withan evo but its something i'd be willing to do if i knew it was cheap to insure. My clio costs...

I was thinking about this and by the time you have bought a 182 and turbo'd it you will have spent about 12k. You could buy a decent evo v probably with exhaust and filter already fitted for about 6k then get it mapped for £500 will give you about 350bhp you could then use the save money to pay...

yeah but as soon as you are in a house thats it you can do what you want. There is no point being the 30 year old at home with mummy and daddy just coz you spent all your money on nice cars.

you may possibly need new wheel nuts i'm not 100% on that.

they will fit. i'd say about £200 or if you really want them £250 it depends on condition really but you will need two tires so thats £80 at least.

I don't see the fasination with sunflower yellow its a highly dated colour and there were only 31 sold for a good reason its a horrible colour. Just cause people were not silly enough to buy them in that colour in the first place shouldn't put a premium on the price now.

Is there any need for a turbo on a clio? i've never once found mine too slow apart from trying to keep up with rexe's evo and even if i had it turbo'd i'd struggle as he can get the power down far quicker pulling out of corners or off roundabouts.

mine was bad with the interior in and is far worse with out interior and sound proofing.

yeah but the thing is i have plenty of interest in the vectra. the scooby is the one nobody wants and yes its advertised at 5k but there are others equivilent for around the 4k mark

I'm going looking at a 172 at the weekend coz the lad is interested in the vectra. The scoob is a blob eye which nobody wants, it would cost me double to insure, double to fuel so i don't want to get stuck with it. Its not like they are even fast or they are nice to drive so tbh i'm not really...

clio's spin up at the slightest little spec of damp on the road you'd have to be on some stupidly grippy tarmac to get off the line quicker

ha ha you wouldn't beat a scooby or evo if they did a proper launch. rexe had an wrx impreza and yes it was slow but when he did a 5k launch the clio wouldn't have a chance of the line. He's got an evo v now and thats would dick the scooby. no matter what power you have in the clio it will not...

I'd never get bored of the exhaust on yours i'd just be driving round doing jet impressions all the time

the vectra is already at 190bhp and 320ftlb of torque but i'm selling the vectra as I want a 120d or a 123d as they will be silly quick with a remap.

thats all well and good but when the vectra is pretty much as quick it kind of ruins that too. plus with all the torque the vectra feels quicker

Its true. The car feels a lot better just with the ph2 dash and some carpet down.

its only meant to be a weekend abuse car, comfort never even came into play with it.

I like the sound of one of those and a uprated dogbone it should help to stop the mounts wearing out so quickly. How much are they?
