After you take the dash top off and remove the speedo, i think its:
remove the screws from the back and the small plastic cover should come off
Turn it over so the dials are facing you and remove the clips that hold the plastic screen, thier pretty obvious
then there are 3 black plastic tabs to...
Smallish update
Finally finished my LED interior upgrade, purchased everything seperatley and it only came to £8 delivered and the result is unbelievable, definaltey worth doing. However was a massive pain with the wrong soldering iron, then invested in one with a smaller tip and made the job so...
Went out this morning, where abouts am i looking? dont want to sound like im ignoring your advice but TB sounds more like a nasty scratching than a buzzing, normal? Pedal didnt make a difference.

Ahh ok cheers, car doesnt seem to have a fuse box cover so i dont think that is helping in keeping the elements out. Will have a look in the morning for it. Managed to get a video of the noise the TB is making, dont know how to upload it onto here tho.
just had a look in the fuse box, is it the white connector at the top that has a lot of fuses and realys plugged into it? Thought i would try the pedal but sods law that the car is out of battery. So stuck that on charge overnight and will give it whirl in the morning
Just picked up a 172 which has been sat for a few months. Car starts and drives but light on dash and there seems to be a delay in revs when putting foot on throttle.
Torque says - "Throttle/Pedal position Sensor/ Switch A circuit" as a fault
Is this the throttle body or pedal? as have a spare...
Smallish update:
So i decided i needed a pressure washer. Mainly as at the moment im using a hose and a spray gun and thought why not as i can also have a go at snow foam with the pressure washer aswell. After lots of deliberation and speaking to @AlexCarter about pressure washers amongst...
yeah its wierd, oh well they will have to do for the time, tbh im happy with any improvement just wished they would have come out a bit more shiney for the cost of the kit. Might buy some xenons im not sure yet though.
Headlights now refurbed with the 3m kit. Pic doesnt do it justice at all but not that completley happy with the outcome, heard mixed review about the kit and its strange with the leap in grades - 500, 800, 3000. Which im assuming why its not really shiney and there are still loads of small...
I dunno mate, i think you will be able to sell it when the time comes. The mods are sensible and i think thats what makes the difference. Mines on 100k and know a couple of people who are interested when i sell. Haha i know mate, as much as i would love the idea of changing the height without...
I think even with the purchase and respray of the kit, it would make a huge difference and probably see your money back on it when the time comes to sell up. I saw a whole kit on ebay the other day for around £100. Damn thats a shame mate, if they fitted that would have solved everything, maybe...
sport rep? :grimacing:, Loving the pic withit sat on the custom springs looks sweet but maybe not so fun to drive haha. I seem to be having the issue of wanting to go lower but not wanting it to be un-drivable.
Can you not just raise the adjusters on the rear whilst still using the custom springs?
All bits are now bought for the dash conversion. Waiting for them to turn up now. Came to a total of £7.60 for everything delivered for speedo, radio display, heater panel, lock/heater switches and window switches.
Update.
So as with probably most people on here, got a few car related items for xmas

Mainly a few car cleaning bits as would like to get into all that. Also got a 3m headlight restoration kit and a debobbler.
I will now bombard this update with...
cup spoiler always makes a huge difference to the back end if you havent already got one mate. Other than that there isnt much else people change along the back.
