Re: PH1 172 Track Car, abit special *ITB update*
thanks mate :)
without labour costs, doing this sort of thing doesnt cost too much.
If you were to get a garage to do this job it would have cost a fortune as the loom had to be completely re-done and ofcourse fitting the bodies themselves.

Over the past few months i have been looking at either changing my 172 road car or upping the power. Some jenvey ITB's came up for sale on the forum from somebody local so it was an obvious chance to buy them. Got the cash ready to buy them...
chris, if you enjoy PC'ing RB so much you can do ours too? ;)
lol im having an imagine of everyone turning up at your house with you standing there, Pc in hand looking quite miserable at the prospect of PC'ing every CS car lol
ph1 is the only way to go. We have done 2 since summer, both being at croft. Was supposed to do mallory in nov but that got cancelled. Its currently parked in our garage as were doing some work to it but once its out (hopefully next week) you can have a look at it if you want :)
me and bazzon use a Ph1 172 on track.
get a ph1 rather than a ph2. Cable throttle is so much better and with the prices of ph1's currently there is only one choice.
Ours is great on the track, keeps up fine with most and on the corners its nimble. Only thing we found was that there was...
warren no offence here but wouldnt it be better to do more track days and learning on what you have got rather than spending more £££ on suspension, just because someone who doesnt own your car doesnt like them?

Danny, I now have the AST's from the time attack car. These were re-valved with super stiff rear springs. Did you have a chance to drive it on track? If so what did you think?
Fred if you fancy trying them in the dry, just gimme a shout in spring/summer. Will have them setup aswell as running...
very good car with some very inventive ideas :) will never forget getting taken round rockingham which made me want to track mine even more.
good work Burp.
