shop? this car doesnt go to garages lol (apart from for remaps :))
there was movement in the camber bolts so im hoping it will be that, will do some photos under hard cornering eventually :)

Re: PH1 172 Track Car, abit special *ITB update*
Replaced the comp solid mounts with AST solid mounts and got rid of the camber bolts and replaced with fixed bolts so shouldnt alter during hard cornering. Instead the AST mounts provide the camber. Will get the suspension fully setup soon.
carl
Currently got AST coilovers fitted with 450lbs springs on the front and 750lbs springs on the rear.
The car is understeering abit when pushing it on track days.
I could either go for a adjustable ARB to help the rear or go for softer front springs.
Question is what sort of lbs should i really...
aye I noticed it looking through your flickr account :-) some very good pics mate :-)
You should have called over and said hello, always happy to take people out on passenger laps

Ok cool :-) have been looking at a adjustable rear arb, you think it would be better to stiffen the rear more (450lb front, 750lb rear) or soften the front? Both would give the desired effect I think but not too sure about pros/cons for either...
It will not be at FCS, too many keyboard tuners on here ;-)*
*real reason is that I'm going to croft to watch BTCC instead
I'll give you a shout Riad when we are going to do oulton park, happy to take passengers out :-)
Carl
see why not post like this whiteley instead of posting comments showing your ignorance?
thanks mate, looking at getting some poly bushes for the whole car so possibly i think this could be the next move :)
carl
exactly! we use comp top mounts (already on the car when we got it) obviously not the best but they do for now with camber bolts. The coilover setup is taken from FMP with 750lb rear springs and revalved to suit. The front is still too stiff though. :)
carl
how on earth do you know same load etc?
what tyres was foxy using? R888's? same road surface? same track?
if not you cannot compare. The printout doesnt lie.

hard cornering lol!
not sure tbh, alot of the cars looked the same on the photos.
think ill sack the camber bolts and go for some adjustable top mounts

Been using 5w 40 Rock Oil fully synthetic oil for the past few months in the track car, alls fine.
Been sent a few litres of 15w 50 Rock Oil racing oil, could i use this? if not why?
(i dont mean mixing them :P )

carl
as title....is that possible?
obv. you can just heat them up and put the crown wheel on but my gearbox guy seems to think spot welding it to the diff would be an idea.
Quaife ATB btw
carl
LOL that was my first outing when i had 30psi cold in my tyres, i went in a lap later to knock them down to the correct hot psi. :o
