I had them on my corsa got them brand new off ebay for £200 posted they are the worst suspension you could ever buy it like driving along on a pogo stick there is no damping once you hit a bump thats it you are bouncing for the next few minutes.
interior is horrible not debating that i'm on about the fun driving factor and the rawness of them. i don't use it everyday so interior isn't an issue for me
Anyone else know this? i know the bilstein are supposed to be better for track as they are stiffer and h&r for road as they are more like standard but i can can get the bilstein cheap so couldn't you just use softer poundage springs on the bilstiens?
Sorry if this is a hijack but i thought if...
all common problems that you are going to encounter at some time. i'd not bother with a standard system. the car i have just bought has reciepts for five back boxes lol
Yeah he's my mate i was talking about. About ten minutes after taking you out the back box fell off which solved the lack of revs lol.
Can't wait to get them both out together. the williams was chucking flames out on the run back home lol its a bit of an animal
I've used the £13 halfords pads and they were great. i'm not a driver who relies on the brakes alot though i tend to adjust speed before the corner rather than just slamming on. Never Had brake fade with them and at £13 you can afford to replace them more often not that i needed too.
take it to any of the big garages and they should be able to do it for you. i'd go to quick fit as they have an insurance company as well who tesco deal with
i'd watch for all your other mounts wearing quicker now that is fitted. i fitted all new mounts to my other one and will be putting them on my current one. i'd reccomend renewing all four mounts with oem spec as the difference is amazing especially when compared to the worn mounts.
Its a great time to buy one but not to sell. there is so much choice about that you can afford to be very picky with them. Me and a mate looked at a phase two 172 yesterday it was on ebay the guy wanted £3500 for it. he ended up winning it himself for £1800. He rang us back later and we offered...
i've been told not to touch greenstuff, yellow stuff are pretty much the same as standard and red stuff is an upgrade. but majority of people go for the ferrodo ds2500 as these seem to be a very good pad
It makes quite a difference, the car feels more nimble on the road. the best way to discribe it is like the guy above says. its like going from having two people in the car to just you. But if you going to take the seats out you mays well strip the rest of the stuff in the rear. Watch the back...
a guided tour would be great it'll be my first time on track as i wimped out with the other one.
I'm hoping to do my own project thread soon so i'll send a link to you so you can see i'm taking good care of it
hopefully we will speak soon
i've not actually bothered to look lol. my old one had cheap tax as dvla had put the emissions of a 1.2 down on the logbook. i think its something like £205 a year i paid £120 before lol
