    Its a 2 minute job for fitment just get a scredriver pull the little panel out on the side and chnage the swithc. Garage most likly has a minimum labour rate of 20 mins or so

    Check the rear seat bar the holes which are in the shell and bar leak strip it out and you'll work it out.

    Ooops yep there is one type of oil I forget which does affect Renault engine looks like the hlafrods rebradn is that type.

    Diesel don't need to touch the boost realy. To much boost isn't good.

    Nope your thininking about old petrols there. Check the EGR vavle is nice and clean then stick some cleaner though the engine he is leaving the lights to go out when he starts it ins't he. Next on the list if its very early on driving woul be the threomplugs and fuses to be checked.

    Stock plugs are the best. ANy 5-40 or 10-40m oil is fine fully sythetic is better.

    Do you have mayonaise like stuf under the filler cap? Its very unlikly to be head gasget there very strong realy. Most likly as said the coolent temp sensot has failed or the wires are sligtly stretch/earthing.

    Its the coolent temp sensor/wires which are the problem on the 182's A new sensor and check the wires arn't stretched ect fixes it.

    decat on a 1.4 16v

    Unless he fiddled with the mapping or unpluged the sensor there not much else can be done. In theory unplug the second sensor tape the wires up and it shoulnd't come on depends on ECU maps though.
