Its covered under the normal warently.
SOme dealers are getting a bit picy as Renault Uk have refused a lot of claims recinet so the dealers arn't getting paid for there work so unwilling to risk loosing any more money.
Its not the height which affects the wear its the spring weight.
You should always replace shock and springs never just spring IMO.
Shock life is always reduced with lowering springs b how much is impossible to say to many variables plus depends what you accept as ok as they wear over time.
Thats how hey all are its a wear marker line. The idea is once the line is reached that the pads should be changed few take note though.
Regards the original poster Im not sure what you mean 182 are terribale for poor pad wear though due to the poor cooling from the alloys.
The biggest reciient killer of springs has been the manurfacturer of the springs it affected loads of manurfacturers the company found out it was a failure of production Mercs have suffered loas with it as they were the big buyer for the company.
£60 for the lower arm.
The ball joint can be bough seperate just not as a 172/182 part there no point in finding out though since its just good practice to change the whole arm.
Cup was 5mm at the front 7 at the back from memory but the tolerances were tigthening up as ell so ibnfact a normal 172 could be lower both front and rear than a Cup.
Wider rear track ever so slightly via the rear axle setup its tiny though.
Always always spending money on a good suspension setup Fk are a minimum standard IMo realy H and R do a set but for an extra £350 over the £420 or so Fks few go for them but they are better beyond H and R there realy just custom stuff like leda over £1k.
