you can check the sizes by removing the upper and lower inlets and comparing them against the gasket sizes, this would give an indication on them as standard, however i believe you will notice the difference of a modified inlet compared to a standard inlet.
basically the rs inlet is the best but still alot of room for improvement, the rs has rs writted in big letters on the lower part of the inlet.
there is alot of info on here, there are visable differences in the sizes once they are matched.
depends what charger you go for, we use the rotrex c type chargers alot which use their own oil supply, so long as you keep you eye on the oil, it shouldn't leak any, its pretty maintence free, just oil change, no need for expencive rebuilds etc.
what i would do is find a decent place local, do a run with it all standard, then fit all your bits and do another run.
so long as you use the same dyno you will see what you have gained.
we have been fitting the Wossner stuff to cars for a while now, never had a problem with them, we currently have several high power duratec engines with superchargers using them with no problems at all, also a lot of rs turbo's running these pistons, again no problems.
Porting heads/inlets etc is an art, we have seen some heads which look good but perform shockingly! same with inlets on some cars we have thru the doors for rebuilds the ports are all different shapes etc, not as easy as people make out.
always benificial to get a power graph of the car before you fit any performance mods, but make sure you use the same rolling road for any other graphs, also its always best to do before and after graphs on the same day if possible...
Can anyone help out, i need the part number for the cat - manifold fitting kit for a 172 clio (springs, bolts, nuts caps spacer etc!)
thanks in advance!
had the car for 6 years now, when i got it it was a good car 1.4 16v electric everything and decent looking whilst still affordable, then fitting the x16xe engine into it, a very tunable 1.6 engine.
always been a vauxhall man at heart, when it was running in the 190bhp spec it was awesome on track, then it went bang, and i spent a little bit more than i antisapated and went crazy with the plasma....
some times i wish i had the clio sooner and spent on that......
forgot to mention that bit....
