Stuart Horne, i know him, Infact i have a mpeg of his punto on the rr at aldon, didnt he melt a piston ?
My scoob red lines at 6, but that likes to be revved ! What annoyed me was, you tried to pick me up on a technicallity, that infact, wasnt really wrong !
<jonto puts his handbag...
Ok, if we are goin to be perdantic, there was only one punto GT with 3 different evolutions. GT2s were a hybrid of the 1 and 3, some had the GT1 engine some didnt, different door cards etc. The engines, had completely different power deliveries due to the lighter con rods and higher compression...
Two different engines in the GT. GT1s have more grunt lower down the rev range and tend to have laods of torque. GT3s in comparision like to be revved. They do fly once on the move though !
Fiat also conduct there performance tests with 2 passengers, 30 klios of baggage and a full tank of fuel. None of this strip your car out lark !
I doubt that the muppets from max power could get it off the line cleanly either.
I have got mpegs of my dusting VTS and 16v at the pod, both in standard form and mildly modded, ie 160bhp and 180 lb/ft running around 21/22 psi. The GT has great torque, something you "valvers" dont know anything about ! In standard from, they dont handle, too much body roll for me, intial turn...
Hmm, interesting opinion there mate. Well my car is quicker than a £55,000 X5 with a new 4.4 variable valve bmw engine. Thats what price tag has to do with performance ! abosultely nothing. A Westfiled mega busa will destroy £100,000 so called sports cars for the princly sum of £15,000.
You go...
Eric - If you havent driven a car, then you are not in any position to coment really. I have raced a lambo, but have no idea what it is like to drive ! I have driven an Audi, who make lambos, it is nice to drive, but too slow, i know its not a lambo, but i have been told they are all the same ...
Eric - when it comes to cars and handling you are obviously far better educated they i am !
Oh yeah, one is common as muck, and the other one isnt !
Eric - have you driven both ?
Fiesta Zetec S gets my vote for warm hatch ! Good built quality, dodgy colour steering wheel mind, blue or red, must be a ford thing cause they done the same in the RS focus. Anyway handling wise, these are superb. Been round dono in one, rock solid through craner kerbs etc, they have the same...
Your right, with normal O2 your tyres pressures can vary quite abit between been a hot tyre and a cold tyre. Nitrogen will keep a stable pressure as it is an inert gas. !
Helium would make you car float away ! ;)
I think i can remember you name, it seems familiar. The are a few idiots on scoobynet, but on the otherside there are a lot of people on there who are very decent and know a thing or two about cars
If it was a classic shape STi it could be anything from an STI 1 to STI 6 - not many ones or twos about so if standard it would be 276bhp provided it was run on superunleaded and octane booster. No offence but the scooby you "wasted" was probaly and uk spec and a sh*t driver to boot ! Not taking...
I think you all should read this !

APR do a chip for the Seat Ibiza 130bhp TDI Sport. 130bhp and 228 lb/ft turns in to 170/180 bhp (depends on engine) and 300lb/ft. These have a six speed box and are reasonably light !
Watch out 16valve boys. Thats not a piss take either. In the gears they will level peg a standard scoob, ie...
Err - right
Civic Type R in the wet
Integra Type R
Clio Cup
Boggo Cossie (escort, small turbo version)
Porsche Boxer (2.7)
bmw 330 ci
lotus elise (from about 40 mph+)
Modded scoobs, dont ya love em ! ;)
I have driven my uncles alfa romeo SZ and his delta intergrale evo 2 ! Been half italian i share a passion for italian cars. Not sure why i have a scoob though !
My girlfriend and sister both have minis purely because the look good (important to girls) and are a bit of a fashion statement (sorry lads, but something a clio could never do). They know nothing about cars, there performance etc.
Does the above still apply to them ? I am sure i know what...
