Halex systems offers very little tranmission loss. It is front wheel drive most of the time, but when slip is detected in the front wheels, it can put anything up to about 20% of the torque to the rear wheels ( ie not that much) Not really a proper 4 wheel drive system IMHO !

Rich, i know that, thats wasnt might point. My point was that is a hell of alot of boost for a stock engine. My scooby only runs 14psi stock, with a fuel cut a 17psi, modern cars tend to runs less boost.

Noticed when looking through the brochure that there are options such and roll cages, 4-point safety harnesss and different seats. Renault, suprisingly enough, didnt know any prices, so has anybody got any prices or ordered any ? Cheers Jonathan

I think ford only gave it 212bhp because any more and it would have been a death trap with that quaife diff on the front. Its bad enough with 212, can you imagine 250 or even 300 bhp !

Its ross isnt it ? I used to have a Punto GT3 in midnight blue (about 160 bhp, 180 lb/ft) , i then sold it to matt friend. Used to and occasionally do still go on punto sports.

Test drove a cup today, as i am looking to buy one. The trip computer said 33.33 mpg. The car is a demo car and had done 500 miles, so still had some losing up to do, but has been trashed for 499 of them i supsect. Is this mpg figure accurate ? What are you lot getting ?

STIs have better diffs, less loses through transmission and closed deck blocks if you a lucky one. They are quicker and produce more power when tuned the same as or equal to a WRX. Anyway, i know what i would sooner have. Dont think a 172 would beat a classic shaped scooby (well i know that...

ST170 and so slow and gutless, its untrue. Got not torque and needs to be revved. This particular engine was slow in the FR Puma and that was lighter.
