I did actually mate, thanks for reminding me. I was going to look at changing the switches over on the board to make it work. But yeah the ac does need double clicking. Does your heated rear window work Ben?
Yeah I was a bit annoyed though because I rushed the guide and rushed the dash, I got it all in before i had it 100%, then ended up pulling that AC panel about 8 times. I thought I'd amended it right, but I've had a few PM's to say I haven't.
I'm pretty sure the switches are just in series...
If you do it, could you post a picture of the connector, and then what wire you moved where, most of mine is right, I know it, I just know there's one mistake (possibly two) somewhere and it's too long ago to remember. Drives me mental.
If someone local wanted it done I'd jump all over it so I...
Double FYI, if you put the ph2 dash in with care, it'll rattle a LOT less.
Buying a pack of those J clip thing because you'll need some is also a good idea.
FYI there is a small mistake in my guide somewhere but it's from so long ago I can't remember what the right way is.
Infact, there's two in the same place.
It's to do with the wiring of the AC panel, I show it one way in a picture, but the text disagree's, also, I'm quite sure the heated...
Thanks to Chris' post I've just realise where this is. I love that road so so much, JD's dad caught me on kirkstone pass after I'd been there and text him to ask if one of his 'Clio buddies' was hooning around the lakes... :o
So jealous you're local to this, like, insanely.
Enjoyed that Piers, and great to know the crash hasn't ruined driving for you. Got to be the best thing about the mk2's, they're the perfect mix of pace and that go kart feeling we all love. They're not do fast that giving it hell on the road will see you either dead or in prison, and they're...
I have the wdtv but it's really bad as soon as your hdd gets a lot of content on it, unplug it and plug it back in and it take forever to let you use it or doesnt work at all.
I'm now looking for something a little more powerful.
Having never owned a coupe (or znything other than a hatchback) before, I couldn't figure out how the seats folded in my e46 I had, I wasn't too fussed, but the day I sold it a friend showed me that they did. Maybe some are just as retarded as me? :-D
Jesus dude, you know it's one bolt out of four, right? Make sure the others are tight and just use the car.
I find it almost impossible to believe you can't get that back on there though to get it undone...
That'll go back on the one on there. Line it up as best as possible then give it a thump with a hammer, then undo it and don't try to fit anymore.
A) I'm guessing you over tightened them
B) You really don't need locking wheel nuts
There's so much right with that, it just needs a few touches really to look brilliant for what it is.
Bring the front and rear up, make the wheels silver, and please considering removing the exhaust (or changing the tail pipes for something more subtle).
It sounded like you were in a bad place with that Audi and from what you just said it got no better.
Now motor is cracking though, lovely looking thing.
Not the most exciting lump for that size barge, but I'm sure you had your reasons for not going for something little larger.
Still...
Don't worry Ollie, I had the fear put in me when I first read Coilovers too.
Fact of it is, that an immaculately restored E21 on some coilovers and "modern" wheels should look great, and it's in no way ruining a classic. Wind the coilovers up and stick some other wheels on and you're back to...
