There's a picture earlier on of one looking badman, grey hardtop grey wheels, but I do agree, it's a bit... big pimping.. and not really what I'm going for.
The hardtop is just really good for the car in the winter, it improves the cabin, negates any possibility of water ingress into the the...
LOL! Personal preference and all that, that actual hard top is for sale. I could get it for £700 I think. It's a lot of money, but it's 100% refundable as it'll sell for that ALL day long.
That's what I thought, red or black. Only two options.
Silver car, silver wheels, bit of contrast is sweet. So red'll do nicely.
Someone at work is going to build me brackets for free, fortunately I'm competent in CAD, so I'll be designing cardboard templates etc, then drawing it up myself...
Yeah fair enough, I suppose there's too many dodgy types in the north for it to be unheard of. Around here I could write it in marker pen and the old bill would think it's fine.
Dude, seriously, it's no different to swapping panels about. If you officially scrap RACK, then swap the chassis from one to another I'm sure you'd be fine. Are they removable plates on them? If so, crack on.
Drill out whatever, rivet it back on, cover your hands in grease and s**t, and smear...
Can you not just swap the chassis numbers? I mean, it's more your old car than it is rack?
Engine changes normally = dolla no?
You've got some balls doing that kinda journey by public transport mate, sod that.
LOL! They are STUPID, but as long as I can make them fit they'll go on.
I'll be buying the rebuild kit for them, rebuilding them and then re-painting and brembo logo'ing them.
I think Red, everyone disagrees, opinions? Black just seems boring.
Hmmm, I'd get that hub nut sorted too whilst it's at the welder then mate, get him to weld a nut to it or similar so you can wind it off.
Why aren't you going to use the original plates? What did I miss?
Just read right through, great work!
Awesome work mate, had a skim last night about to read through and catch up.
You still got the hub nut issue or is that solved? If it really does persist, grind two sides dead flat then wang a nice big spanner on it.
Yeah I won't bother with //M bumpers, but the facelift is nice.
TBH when I look at picture of mine, the normal bumper does look good, I'm just not happy with the finish.
Yep that's the one mate, considering splitting it down and selling to buy a facelift bumper though, I'm an idiot I know.
I'll probs get that one on first TBH, sell the one I take off, as mine is a let down.
