I was digging through pictures from a few years ago, forgot how good this is. Where else do you get to see priceless rare cars like these being driven as they were designed to be driven?
Anyone else going this year?
The racing is proper racing most of the time too, not exhibition...
Given the choice between Vein's 1.4, or that abomination of a car, I'd have the cheap, chuckable and cheerful 1.4 every single time.
That other thing is hideous - simply changing each and every single thing on the car for something non-standard doesn't automatically make a car good as most on...
I've got one of these
now containing one of these
with ducting
ending up here
I'm at Surrey Rolling Road next saturday to see what it's achieved (if anything)...I'm hoping for a bit of a ram-air effect from the 120mm ducting behind the grill.
I'm going to see if between...
Mine's had a 7,750 rpm limit for the last 100,000 miles, and no problems so far.
As above power tails off quite quickly so I only really use the extra revs occassionally on track if a corner is between gears; I can hang on to a gear longer than usual before entering which means I don't bang...
You technically gave him the go ahead to do the work without first checking how much you would be charged, he told you "not much" and that your car would be ready at 5pm the next day and you agreed.
I'd say he's got a right to be a bit miffed with you for kicking up a fuss (in front of other...
Why only Renaultsports?
Does that mean a 182 Cup with a Dynamique wheel can, but a Dynamique with a Dynamique wheel can't?
The melting leather affects more than just RS owners, and there's plenty of people on here with melting wheels in Dynamiques etc.
I'd say add your name to the list.
The splitting/falling apart thumbgrips is only part of it, the crap pretend leather that seems to melt affects far more models than just the RS Clios.
Feel free to use mine as an example of how bad they can get...but I'm well out of warranty now (4.5 years and 104k miles) and have replaced mine with an aftermarket wheel so I'm not after a new one.
I'd happily send the old one gift-wrapped to someone at Renault inviting their comments on how...
Widescreen TVs are 16:9 size ratio width:height.
Are you watching a film that's presented in 2.35:1 (check the DVD case for ratio info.)? Lots of films are filmed in proper widescreen, so the black bars are meant to be there - it's presenting the film in the way in which the director wants you...
Duty payable (UK)
In the UK the government have recently introduced a new tax incentive for vegetable oil based fuels. The definition of biodiesel is 'an ester of vegetable oil fatty acid', which includes methyl ester (biodiesel made with methanol) and ethyl ester etc. Also, from a technical...
Aye, it's pretty obvious to the 'law' if you're running on it from the smell and I thought they have the powers to inspect fuel if they suspect tax evasion...just like when the prosecute people for using red diesel...you're doing a very similar thing here.
Re: melting steering: renault dont want to help
This is utter b****cks.
How is this to be expected after 50,000 miles of normal use...plainly the materials are not fit for the purpose...
Makes my blood boil!!!
Yep, leaky shocks, dodgy engine mounts, and exhausts that crumble into dust are fitted as standard...I had them all too.
Get them sorted though, and you won't stop grinning.
Enjoy your stay.
This is great news. If it hasn't been said already, make sure you get something in writing confirming what work's been done.
Then everyone else has got something to base an argument on.
