Sounds like you got yourself a great deal there, really low miler aswell! Finding the perfect 2.0 (182 in my case) was even worse -so many trashed examples, you need a lot of patience trust me.
Welcome mate, im also a new 182 owner from Kent.
Don't forget to upload some pics for us... or better yet start up a project thread to show the cars journey back to standard.
Thanks mate. Spent plenty of time searching for it, becoming increasingly frustrated, and travelling all over the country to view mediocre cars that the owners believed were 'immaculate/superb condition'. But i'm glad I held out and found the 'right' one in the end. Stay tuned for the updates..!
Right, I will start right away with progress. I will point out now that I didn't/don't have extensive knowledge with tools/cars, and will be using this project as a learning curve for the future (cant beat hands on). Firstly I decided the car needed a good clean on the inside. The previous owner...
Hi all and welcome to my slightly overdue project thread!
Firstly a little background on me. My name is Tony, I’m currently 19 years old and living in the South East. At the age of 17 I was lucky enough to be gifted a 5-door '53 plate 1.2 16v Clio 'extreme' model. I had always liked the look of...
Hi mate, the rust is around the entire rear wheel arch on the passenger side of the car. The rust has rotted through from the inside, and caused the paintwork to bubble and its clearly visible from the exterior. The dealer told me they would be sanding it back, filling what needed to be filled...
Thanks gents, I think I'll test fit one with it and one without and see which sits nicest. Next job is to get the bloomin' wipers off (been told its a pain), so I can fit a new motor for the washer jets.
Just so you know; that spoiler is in black gold, your car will be pearl black so won't be a colour match (a lot more gold flake in the spoilers paint). Maybe that won't bother you but thought it would be worth a mention. The cars looking good btw!
Thanks for the help gents, im looking into it now. Any comments on the CarPro Trix Tar and iron remover? I like the appeal of only having to apply it once.

I have never found the two bucket method to be a lot of extra effort, its just part of my general routine to stop scratching and avoid putting any muck back onto the car. I think i will need to look into decontaminating products, could well make a big difference as its never been done in my...
There wont be a noticeable difference between the two then, ok thanks for that. I think I'll just stick with the SRP then.
Nope, I haven't gone as far as iron/tar removers (have considered it on a number of occasions). Generally I just snow foam, 2 bucket wash, polish and then seal.
Firstly I'd like to say I am not a detailing expert (far from it), just enjoy washing the car on weekends and getting a nice shine with easy to use products.
Now onto my question - I have always used Autoglym's SRP, mainly due to ease of use and low cost but I am now thinking of trying...
I noticed that aswell! They got 3-4 people interested in the first day of the ad going up, so up'd the price thinking they were underselling. Now people have seen the awful state of the arch and walked away, they have suddenly realised that its not worth what they were hoping for. xD
Hi all,
Went and viewed the Petrol blue 182 in the link below this morning. I travelled a fair distance as i know its a very rare/sought after colour and I've always wanted to own one. Unfortunately the rear wheel arch surrounding metal has some very bad rusting, which would not be a cheap fix...
Hi and welcome.
Its totally plausible that this car has only covered 49k in its 13year life, particularly when the HPI check seemed to confirm it. Its very rare to find a low miler, but they do pop up from time to time.
Can you buy the 1*2 kick plates brand new? Im after a set for my project build but as the second hand ones are 10+ years old, the chances of getting a good clean set are very slim.
Thanks for any help in advance.
The car would be 100x more appealing if you removed some of the chav additions.. but then again if you like them and its your car then just keep as is.
Is the rear bumper strip the same colour as the rest of the bumper? (hard to tell from pics)
If so, would look so much better with the grey/black standard strip to break up all that colour.
Yes that's the one. Trendline is in the title so assumed it was but i guess not.
On my screen your link is exactly the same as mine? Don't know why its not working, but they both seem to take you to the same place..?
