Gti was more raw and felt quicker even though it probably wasn't. Gti was less refined though an you felt always needing to drive quicker! Clio feels normal buy it's got that extra when you want it.

i did mine with halfords paint on vts wheels a year back (i didnt have a vts though) wet/dry sand paper, paints, lacquers, sanding in between really easy to be honest, just make sure you let them dry off properly and everywhere is masked off

yeah that is the stickler, im currently playing for RAC cover anyway mate. i think with parts and garage cover and decent breakdown its £10-£15 a month. reading through it too it needs to be serviced regularly by a garage etc so for people that do it themselves thats slightly annoying!

i dont know colour coding, i once did my vts wheels (on my 106 gti obviously) in anthracite and it was a doddle! mask off properly, sand lots and put as many coats on as possible, and leave to dry for long enough between each coat and you cant go far wrong
